The Athletic's Max Bultmen has a nice writeup on Seider, some quotes from the article including from his current SHL coach:

Quote

“He’s ahead of his age as a defenseman in terms of his decision-making,” Abbott said by phone last week. “I mean, he’s got, I want to say a roundness to his game. He’s got a lot of different attributes that make him good in our league, and that will continue to make him good at the next level.”

Seider, at just 19, is now in his third professional league in three seasons. He has transitioned from the larger European ice sheet to the narrower North American one, and now back. He is also playing and living in his third country in that span.

Quote

Playing with former NHLer Éric Gélinas, Seider entered Tuesday’s game against HV 71 (which Rögle won 4-0) with a remarkable 64% on-ice Corsi-for percent for Rögle, according to Svengelska Hockey. That means Rögle takes about two-third of all shot attempts with him on the ice. The team as a whole is thriving, sitting just 3 points behind Frölunda for first place in the SHL, despite having played six fewer games. And Seider, who had 22 points in 49 AHL games last season, is already up to 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) in nine games in Sweden.

It’s a small sample that could look different even in just a week or two. But if Seider is able to keep that pace up, or something even close to it, he could challenge for the most productive SHL season ever by a U20 defenseman, on a per-game basis. Rangers prospect Nils Lundkvist holds the record, with 31 points in 45 games last season (minimum 10 games played).

Lots of strong lockout talk starting to surface.   Supposedly there are a number of teams that think it makes more financial sense to not play rather than to try and play without fans.    I’m not very confident having to rely on Gary Bettman and Don Fehr striking a deal.

I would have no problem with this season being skipped. Seems like the last one just ended. Will always be playing catch-up if you try to squeeze in a regular season and then attempt to fit in playoffs before the Olympics start, and then start all over again in September. Sit this one out and the autumn will be hear before you know it, should be full stands by then after vaccinations. Start a couple of weeks earlier so that the February Olympic break doesn't push things back too much.

25 years ago was Roy’s last game with the Habs. Awesome to watch at the time. Although ironically, could say it backfired on the Wings. If the Wings had let up or if Roy had been pulled at say 5-1, likely wouldn’t have been traded to the Avs and Wings might have had an easier conf final series the following May.

LOL - I've always thought the same thing. Seemed like a stupid thing for a coach to do - That must have been Tremblay? New guy trying to show who's boss?

As much as I want hockey back I wouldn't mind if it isn't safe or financially viable to just cancel the season

i think you'll start to see fans back in the stands in some capacity by february.  if they play the season.

but nhl owners canceled a season before over money, they could easily do it again.

Wings @ Canucks, February 2021. Attendant #1 scans your ticket, attendant #2 wands you for metal detection, attendant #3 jabs your arm with the vaccine and attendant #4 hands out souvenir toques to the first 10,000 fans. Does anyone know whether I'd need to wait 30 minutes or more after the vaccine to have a beer?

Little talked about prospect Ryan O'Reilly appears to have worked on his skating a bunch going into his freshman season.  Nice little play with some pace.  Between Stange's intriguing play at Wisconsin and the good draft eligible players, NCAA is very intriguing to follow along with the SHL right now.

Schedule is out. Having to play teams like Columbus, Carolina and Florida is blah, but I guess better than nothing.

Wings kick off on January 14 hosting Carolina, play 56 games through May 8 finale.

Tampa's Kucherov is having regular season-ending surgery, by the way.
