Honeslty, I think you could feel the stadium moving.  It was incredible.

I was there with my friend who grew up on Long Island. His first baseball game concluded when Mickey Mantle hit a walk off home run. This guy is a real Yankee fan. He despised Kenny Rogers, who walked in the winning run against the Braves in the 99 NLCS, because he wanted to see the Yankees play the Mets in the WS. So there he was watching The Gambler pitch the game of his life and being harassed by Tigers fans. I almost felt bad for him. Almost.

There was literally electricity in the air that night. Crazy.

I remember waiting out in the street to get in, by Cheli's.  It was dark out because it was an 8 pm game and it was October.... not used to going to a game when it is dark out.  The crowd was immense.  You think about opening days and it's a sellout but half the people are at the bars and even other games when it's near sellout... it still wasn't like this.  People were there to see the game.  Not just to be there like it's Wrigley Field.  I was thinking... "First playoff game in Detroit in 19 years!".   And being tied 1-1 in the series gave you hope.  After the huge letdown in the KC series the weekend before and getting blown out in game 1, I thought our magical year went for naught... a crappy wild card berth when it should have been a division title...

Was it this game or the Bonderman game which led to the famous Happy Meal incident?

It is one of those things....I was at the games, but have to go back and actually look through the box to see what happened.  I was at ALDS game 1&2 in 2011 and Game 3 of the ALCS the same year, then game 1 of the ALDS in 2012 and game 1 of the ALCS that same year.

That is as far as I got with my research...I need to go in and look at the cool things that happened and see if I actually remember them.

I DO know that I am 4 for 5 in games attended with wins in the playoffs.

No, the happy meal incident came after a holiday party.  I went to the Bonderman game with a friend.  Our spouses work together.  That same group of people was at my house for a get together where I delighted them with the tale of going to the game with Tim and buying Mary a Happy Meal after the holiday party when we all stopped at McDonald's after leaving and the women switched cars while we were in the drive thru.
