Harris is a 5* DB from Texas, unlikely he'll come here but it's good to see that Linguist is already putting in the work and that him and Michigan are going after the top guys.

Very cunning move.

I know.  I know. It’s going to happen a lot and the joke is going to get old fast.

Michigan signs a new running back coach, #2 RB enters transfer portal (Charbonnet). 1 step forward, 1 step back.

they have donovan edwards coming in.  rb is the one position where michigan has actually recruited very well.

tough to see warriner leave, but the staff is young, mostly minorities, and built to recruit.  some fresh blood was needed and recruiting can be about hustle (not just money).

recruiting has been harbaugh's biggest issue of late, so the staff assignments seem to address it.

now....can they coach?

Anybody hopeful that the turnover on the coaching staff will help?

Not in the least bit. The one coach that needed to be turned over was not and that was the Head Coach. So I think Michigan as a program is what it is. 8-4, 9-3, and 10-2 on their best years. Never good enough to beat Ohio State, so that losing streak will continue. Never good enough to win a Big 10 Championship and make a CFB Playoff, because they can't get past Ohio State. Never good enough to count on them beating MSU, because Sparty will be fired up and looking for the upset and Michigan won't have the ability to convert this game into a sure fire win.

Until Harbaugh is fired and this university commits to allowing its next coach to recruit as Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, and a handful of SEC teams do, they'll always be floundering around as good, really good some years, but never great.

It is as Bo said it was . . .

"Those who stay will be 9-3!"

I know it's way past your post time. But just curious, who would you rather have than Harbaugh? I don't think theres a legit better coach out there......

Luke Fickell has and will continue to be my first choice. Brent Vneables, Mario Cristobal, Matt Campbell, and PJ Fleck are also names I would consider as well. If Tom Brady ever retires I would consider giving Brady a shot as well if he wanted to dip his toes in the coaching waters. But Fickell is the guy I'd back a dump truck full of money towards and dump it in his driveway. I'd also change the culture at Schembechler Hall and give Fickell a guarantee that he can recruit in the same manner that SEC schools, Ohio State and Notre Dame do and that administration and boosters won't stand in his way.

I've definitely heard Fickell, Campbell and Fleck. The others I haven't. I think Jim has 2 more years to beat Ohio State or else.....

I would say only one. The new contract allows them to part company at the end of this season for next to nothing in severance (relatively)

looks like Harbaugh could lose a coordinator who hasn't even worked for him yet...

Michigan co-defensive coordinator Maurice Linguist, hired in January, reportedly is the front-runner to become Buffalo head coach.
