She was trying to attack the Vice President and got the Lee Harvey Oswald treatment.

"Filling up on dangerous drugs"

You make it sound like there is some kind of gas station-like place for drugs for you to fill up.

You wouldn't happen to have the address for this filling station, would you.

It's for research................purely research.

This was an unarmed woman.  If she was trying to break into an area where she was not legally allowed to be, under circumstances that warranted the use of deadly force against her, then maybe no sympathy is warranted.  But others have been given it when they deserved it no more than she did, and quite possibly less.

She was an unarmed woman in the middle of a deranged mob of people that included armed individuals. That were breaking the law by breaching a building that they had no legal right to be in. That, as reporting has later indicated, wanted specific individuals (such as the Vice President).

I'm sorry, but the excuses just don't fly.

Then what are you whining about? Are you ok with the girl being shot or not?

He want it both ways....the guy is on a Detroit Sports message board and hates all the teams.

That should tell you something

Don't know enough yet.  It does seem odd that, if she was part of a large group doing something that warranted the use of deadly force, apparently only one shot was fired.  A lot of police shootings involve what I consider extreme overkill, with a cop emptying his weapon, or several cops unleashing a barrage, at a single person.

I am open to the possibility that shooting her was legally justified.  I just haven't come across enough information about what happened to make that determination.

i am a bit surprised she was the only one who got shot.  if anything they should have used more force against more of them.

i dont have a problem with cops using force on rioters throwing bottles at them and burning down cities, and i dont have a problem with the cops using force against a bunch of idiots storming the capitol building.

funny how all the pro-trump cop blogs who post all this crap about how cities run by democrats are **** holes and all people who riot should be shot or locked up forever are strangely silent after yesterday.

I'm not giving her the benefit of the doubt.  I don't know enough to gauge whether she should have been shot.  If she did something that legally warranted being shot by the police, so be it.  But others who don't know enough, either, are vilifying her and saying that she deserved what she got.  In contrast, though, there has been a lot of sympathy expressed for people who were killed or wounded by the police or others while doing illegal things that pretty clearly warranted a forcible response.  Like attacking a guy from behind in the dark and banging his head into the pavement.  Like punching a cop and trying to grab his gun when he approached because you had just committed a robbery.  Like fighting a cop with a knife in your hand.

This was an unarmed woman.  If she was trying to break into an area where she was not legally allowed to be, under circumstances that warranted the use of deadly force against her, then maybe no sympathy is warranted.  But others have been given it when they deserved it no more than she did, and quite possibly less.

The way I judge people is very simple: by their conduct.   Good conduct gets good grades.  Bad conduct gets bad grades.  Worse conduct gets worse grades.  I have no use for bad cops or police misconduct -- as I have said here several times, the first word in "police state" is police.  But I also have no use for thieves, robbers, burglars, home invaders, carjackers, rapists, batterers, murderers, or other criminal lowlifes..  And when criminals oppose the police with force and get hurt or killed as a result, I don't shed any tears for them.

LOL, you don't know if she did anything that warranted it?  She breached security at the  US Capitol.  Newsflash, that's illegal. Everyone of them should have been shot at.  They were trying to disrupt the legislative process and democracy itself.   She's the criminal low life you despise so much.  Have you seen how they treated the kids from Parkland or the disabled who entered and peacefully protested?  Are you not sure if the 9/11 attackers did anything illegal?  Was George Floyd in the process of committing a crime when he was murdered?

Pelosi to Pence - initiate 25th or we will impeach him again.

is the 25th amendment a temporary thing - like wilson having a stroke and being unable to continue - or is it like a lifetime ban?

Outside of Romney, I just don't see it. Maybe Murkowski and Collins. When do the Georgia senators get sworn in?

I read somewhere else that they get sworn in when Georgia certifies the runoff election.  That is apparently not till the 22nd, so useless in this discussion.

I read yesterday it is temporary but can be made permanent on the second try.

It's temporary; it likely wouldn't even be being discussed even now except for the shortness of Trump's remaining term.  It's not even a removal from office, just a temporary removal of power.  Trump would still be the president if the 25th is invoked, but Pence would have the legal powers of the presidency.  Trump could contest the invocation, at which point Congress would have three weeks to decide whether or not he's really incapacitated, and it would require a 2/3 vote in both houses to sustain it. Obviously it's very unlikely that would actually happen, but since Trump is out in less than that anyway, at the very least the House would just sit on it until the 20th.

But yeah, the only means of anything lasting past the next 13 days is impeachment.

Must just be temporary - someone can recover from being incapacitated.

Not in this case, as he's obviously extremely unwell and, I would guess, unlikely to ever recover the full use of his facilities.

see, i dont think trump is "unwell" at all.  i think he's stupid and completely self-absorbed.  claiming that he's unwell lets him off the hook for all his behavior.

he is not unwell, he's an *** hole.
