Just for future reference, here are the only things that relate to this forum that actually would make me mad:

1. Brad Ausmus bunts

2. Brad Ausmus pinch runs for Miguel Cabrera in the 5th inning or something

3. Mark Dantonio makes a smug reference about the University of Michigan (he's the one guy who really does trigger me I'm afraid)

4. You were to make a post in which you suggested that the video game 'Planescape: Torment' was not an all time classic.

Anything else is just me making sarcastic posts about baseball, because, get this, I really enjoy doing that.

And now I'm going to do my best to never reply to you again. Either you actually think I'm flaming you, in which case, you should be glad at this news, or you just wanted to 'win' an argument, in which case, congrats! You won! I'm tapping out.

Unless you seriously start posting about how great and smart Mark Dantonio is in which case screw you

Actually that was a lie, Yoda's meme post earlier actually did make me a little angry. Not because I didn't deserve to be hit back for my obviously over the top ranting about WAR, but because Yoda is better than memes. I truly believe that about him as both a person and a poster.

Maybe I am just full of berserk rage tonight. dang. watch out world.

I actually enjoyed this win. Lately when they've won it's just been kind of, meh... But tonight I cheered and yelled when Machado drove in the winning run.

Although it's interesting, useful, and appropriate to discuss this season and this game - otherwise why be here - for me it is the equivalent of rearranging the furniture in hell. I have basically checked out on this season but for the most minimal and primitive of enjoyments. I will enjoy these last few days in hell. I am happy just to cheer. But I look forward to something better next year. That is something I can sink my teeth into.

I forwarded this to Mom, and she says that you need to get a hold of yourself. Not sure if she meant that literally. She's worried though, and she thinks that your blood-alcohol content might be dangerously low.

Brad's OK, but Drizzle prefers nude photos of Justin Verlander.

I saw the nude photos of Hope Solo... until I saw the frontal shots I thought they were the nude pics of JV.

Brad's a *******...after all he's been through and meant to the franchise, JV deserved a chance to lock that othwerwise meaningless game down. I wonder how much of an "F You" that was to JV...Justin doesn't seem to be the easiest guy to manage.

I haven't called anyone retarded today or called someone out in a different thread because they don't like a player that I do.

I guess that makes me the flamer? I'm not really sure how that works unless you're actually Anthony Gose in real life, in which case I'm sorry for insulting your abilities on the baseball diamond.

If you took my posts about Anthony Gose as some sort of personal insult, you might want to notice that I've made over 10,000 posts and probably 8,000 of them are about how bad certain players are. It's not about you man. The Tigers won! Relax!

80% of your posts are negative? That's a little bit sad....

IMO, removing JV was the correct move. The problem wasn't just who he would be facing, the problem was the single he had just given up. Get Hosmer out and there wouldn't be any discussion.

Even making the right move, again IMO, it backfired on Brad. Just like the other 1000 moves that backfired on him this season. I have never seen a manager as snakebitten as Brad has been this season. The fan in me wanted to see JV finish the game off but the common sense move was to not extend him.

But they won anyway, I guess we can credit Brad for letting Machado hit instead of using a pinch hitter? Looking for something positive to say.....

Brad isn't snake bitten. He's tone deaf. He has never managed at any level before, and it shows like a mug

The club house may be full of vipers' nests, but it would help if he didn't constantly poke every one he saw with a stick.

Last night I agree, it was a lose - lose proposition. JV's sharpness was pretty much gone. He'd given up a a number of really hard hit balls that he had gotten lucky on. A screaming grounder that hand cuffed Romine but he made the play on anyway, a ball hit to the upper deck in left just foul, a frozen rope to JD before the single in the 9th. And a couple to deep CF. He wasn't getting many whiffs or pop-ups. So JV was getting by with location and the curve, but his command was wobbling and he hadn't had his better fastball much at all night.

We know Wilson should be a middle relief guy, he's not a fireman type - doesn't have shutdown stuff. That is why they have had to keep hoping a guy that should, like Rondon (or dare I say, Krol) can stop putting guys on base at the rate he does.

Problem is when a guy like Wilson is head and shoulders better than anyone else in the BP.

EDIT: Very well put and magnanimous statement by JV after the game by the way, it would have been the easiest thing in the world for him to throw Ausmus under the bus in this situation if he had cared to.

Don't worry, the other 20% are all 'YEAH! NICE HIT FOR THE DETROIT BASEBALL TIGERS! WOOO'

^You see, the difference is, positive basic comments like that I make in real life in the moment they happen. Most serious discussions that take place on this forum tend towards negative, as for some reason we never have threads like "let's talk about how great Miguel Cabrera is" or "You know who hit a lot of HRs? Barry Bonds!"

A younger JV would have danced much closer to the edge of throwing his manager under the bus. I don't know that he would have intended that. It was just the byproduct of his confidence and an arrogance his stuff and good health provided. He is a different man these days and I think that's a good thing for the club.

It's been that way all year. Ausmus hasn't done anything to help the situation, but pretty much everything he tries with this staff isn't going to work. It seems he has gotten a little better at bullpen management since the deadline, but you can't win with this staff.
