versus the

DETROIT TIGERS

Drew Hutchinson 4-6, 3.21 ERA

Hutchison not been pitched well on the road; in eight starts, he has an 8.92 ERA with opponents hitting a stunning .356. In eight home starts, Hutchison has a 2.12 ERA with a .218 opponents' average.

Anibal Sanchez 1-1 4.56 ERA

Homers continue to plague Sanchez, who's allowed 18 this year, including five in his last two starts. Manager Brad Ausmus believes opponents have generally been lucky to capitalize on a handful of poorly-located pitches.

Two coming up, two have to leave. Ryan is an obvious choice.

No Win Ryan is indeed a candidate. Verh would take his place in the 'tation. Joba's no run outing yesterday probably bought him a week. AA's probably still safe. Gorzo is on the fence but both of the guys coming up are RH so he may be safe. As someone previously mentioned, Rondon could be heading for the DL.

So, my projection would be No Win and Rondon.

Let's hear some predictions guys!

I think Ryan should fill Gorzo's role in the bullpen. For all his struggles, he has allowed a .602 OPS the first time he faces guys. It's the 2nd and 3rd time through as a starter where he's exposed. And I'd really prefer 2 lefties in the bullpen. So that would mean Gorzo is cut for me.

Joba is the other logical candidate, but nothing has been logical with how they've handled him. So I would guess maybe Rondon or Ryan. VerHagen's stay is probably short as I imagine the guy who takes Ryan's spot in the rotation is not on the 25-man right now. His presence is probably more due to the fact that he's already on the 40-man and can still pitch long-relief if things go bad.

Crouse and Smith to AA to replace Verhagen and Mercedes, Mercedes to AAA to replace Ferrell. This means nobody in current BP in Detroit is going down to AAA. I think this means that some outright release actions are likely.

I think Joba or Gorzelany will be DFA. They would then need to clear waivers. I think they would accept an assignment to Toledo.

Actually, given how much this team likes good PR with established players and their agents...that makes more sense. They would probably give opportunities to go down to Toledo.

Wow. Not really. Sounds like treading water for now. Goodbye Joba!

Ferrell has come out of nowhere, but he has gotten excellent reviews this season. The words "Change-up" and "Bugs-Bunny" have been used in the same sentence.

I also think Ryan will go to the bullpen where he will be much more effective than Kyle Ryan the SP and Gorzelanny the LHRP.

Kinsler leading off

Cespedes 2nd

lol holy ****. apparently this last series was the last straw. somebody in management finally had enough of this ****.

ian has a .333 OBP so it's not the worst thing in the world. Ces 2nd is good and JD up to 5th is great. Avila 6th, Gose 8th, Iggy still 9th, probably hope he can get on base for the top of the lineup.
