Anyone watch Dr.Who? I took my son to see The Day of the Doctor 50th Anniversary episode in 3D and now I'm watching the 'first" season on Hulu Plus. I am enjoying it a lot. Cheeky, dumb, bright, witty, and Rose reminds me of a girl I work with. I have watched 7 and I have 90 more I can watch. Getting addicted to it.

I have struggled through the first few seasons waiting for it to really grab me. I'm on the first season of this current 'doctor' and really miss Christopher Ecclesiaosoeodg or whatever his name is. I liked the second doctor as well.

Where do you find the early ones? We watched the series with the Aztecs then started trying to find more but only found a gap from '64 to '67 on Netflix.

Doctor Who is pretty fun, and every once in awhile is great TV. The Episode 9/10 2-parter in Season 1 is awesome, and the story that really got me hooked to Doctor Who.

I also liked Eccleston's Doctor the best. Tennant (his immediate successor) was nearly as good. Matt Smith doesn't do a lot for me, and my interest has been waning a bit. I still have one more season to go with him, but it's not on Netflix yet.

Some of the pre-2005 stuff is (or at least was) on Netflix as Classic Doctor Who, and I find it significantly less entertaining than 2005+. I believe the old stuff is on Amazon Instant as well.

I have not watched lately. I was a fan in the past of Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker and Chris Ecclestone.

On Hulu there are 'classic' episodes in B&W.

I saw all of the Eccelstone and David Tennant parts of the series, but haven't seen any of the newer ones since then. My best friend just went over to London to be part of the 50th Celebration, he was stoked.

I was watching Doctor Who long before the reboot lately starting with Eccleston (used to run on the PBS station here in the 80's). The new series is actually pretty good stuff, it is more dramatic then the old stuff, bigger budget, dumbed down a bit I think, the older series Doctor's were a bit less like-able and more arrogant. I think they just found most of the old BBC episodes, should fill in some of the gaps on the first 3 doctors.

They found a few serials - I think there's still a bunch missing, which may be one of the issues someone had earlier with a gap between 64 and 67. The other place to look for info on those would be places like Gallifrey One, for example.

The big difference with older serials is often the pacing. The modern stuff is simply packed in harder and tighter - usually to it's advantage I think. Obviously the whole effects stuff has changed as well, but it seems to be pacing and the average quality which has changed most (not that there aren't excellent earlier serials of course, but I think the general average has increased).

I don't know if you guys got the Five(ish) Doctors Reboot? It's on iPlayer (at BBC One - Doctor Who, The Day of the Doctor, The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot) but I can never work out if you get access to that or not. Very funny - all sorts of good gags and so on.

Very good double episode certainly - up there with Blink and so on.

The Curse of Fenric - from series 26 I think - is well worth a look btw. Right at the end of the original run, but generally rated very highly as a serial (although with the caveat that the budget was being cut so severely at that point that it is, literally, held together with brown paper and string at times).
