Are there any here?

This is what they get for planning the ALCS and discussing matchups instead of worrying about beating weak Detroit

Yeah, I laughed when I heard a NY ESPN radio voice talking about how yesterday afternoon Yankee fans couldn't come up with a scenario where Detroit could win. Honestly, I find that hard to believe given their feelings about Rodriguez. Surely they could have envisioned him failing at a huge AB and striking out to end the game. I guess they thought they were too good to be derailed by their 3B.

Probably because him striking out is how their season ended last year. Couldn't happen twice in a row could it?

At least now that the LDS is over on TBS we won't have to watch the Chrysler commercials that call Detroit "The Paris of the Midwest". I wasn't aware that Paris was a gigantic slum so empty of actual residents that feral animals run through downtown.

A quote from a Yankees forum. Seems they've taken to being sore losers and are now rooting against us. If we lost, I would root for the Yankees, after all, you want the team who beat you to be the best team right?

Anyone who has spent time in the Bronks knows that the feral animals there are part of the general society there. They call the New Yorkers.

Yankees fans are absolutely the worst fans in all of baseball

They are saying some pretty horrible things about their own future hall of fame players

They are blaming the manager and the players

and its extremely rare to find one with any thing nice to say

It's baseball and sometimes you come up against a team having a magical season and for no explainable reason that team wins

(yes I know we have a very good team)

I just can't imagine any one of us talking about our team like they do

Even at the end of 2003 we had better things to say about our guys

Speaking of magical run. Take a look at what was said after game 163 in 2009.

Leyland led teams always collapse and Cabrera was a fat drunk.

That's been my thought forever: you want it known that it took the champs to knock you out. Except the Yankees. I could never root for them to win a World Series.

The only time I want the Yankees to win is if it helps the Tigers, and even in that circumstance it's not like I'm rooting for the Yankees. I'm rooting against the other team.

this is my thought too. The team and fans are too smug to root for

Babe Ruth was at least one of the greatest baseball players ever.....and.....he was a fat drunk.

Imagine how many home runs The Babe might have had without the alcohol and if had taken better care of his body in general.

Ever wonder how many of A-Rod's careers home runs would have been long fly balls without the juice?

Alcohol impedes sports performance.....it does not enahnce it.

Cabrera had a great season. He won the batting title. I have never heard of him being associated with sports enhancing drugs. He did what he did with his god given abilities.

I understand that the Yankee fans are frustrated. But there is no reason to get bush league with their comments.

Excluding moderators? No.

Actually, I was and still sort of am a Yankees fan, though I spend a whole lot more time following the Tigers now than I do them. I think Sue is the only other person on here that also likes the Yankees.

I'm indifferent that the Yankees lost. The team is older in key positions and didn't get hits when they needed them despite the run differential in their favor. I thought Leyland outmanaged Girardi, too, so the better team in this part of the season won.
