And CV's poor rebounding is not a Rasheed 7 a night thing where we don't really need it that much , we need him to rebound. Rasheed could always rebound when we needed him to

When we needed Sheed to have a big game he would dominate the glass and the paint on both sides. Now that guy was talented.

For every point CV scores, he gives one up on the other end. He's tissue soft, doesn't rotate at all defensively, and simply gets owned on the glass. He spent the summer in the gym apparently practicing shooting threes, because he obviously never even glanced in the weight room - that'd be too much work. The guy likes to have fun, that's it. He's out there playing a pick up game every night.

It was nice to see Bynum penetrating and finding the open man in the 4th. If only stuckey could figure out how to do that with his strength and ability to draw 3 defenders.

I have no idea what Q is doing with the rotations on this team. I don't think he does either. He's just searching and searching for a rotation that will work but common sense doesn't seem to enter into it half the time.

I am watching the replay and this is, simply, depressing. It's 20+ early in the second half. I decided to come here and post, and apparently the Pistons make a run in the second half.

The Pistons did play last night, while Charlotte has been waiting for an opponent since before Christmas, so energy was going to be an issue entering this game, but this is tough to swallow.

Detroit had four points for the quarter about eight points into the second quarter. FOUR POINTS! They had something like 6 turnovers in the same period. They don't take care of the ball. They don't take good shots. They don't get back on defense. They didn't rebound. They don't stop the ball. They can't locate shooters. They can't find a PG that can defend opposing team's PGs. They didn't do anything.

One of these days I'm going to figure out how many games the Pistons' opposition shot over 50% against them this year. It's getting up there.

Some odds and ends.

Pistons notes and quotes from Monday's game | freep.com | Detroit Free Press

NO T-MAC: Tracy McGrady didn't play in the second half. He said Kuester asked him to start the fourth quarter, but said he was stiff from missing the entire third quarter.

Way to tough it out for the team.

3 players have recently been rumored to be on the trading block.

First is Yao Ming. He will be a hot commodity with that big expiring probably. Even more, whichever team has him at the end of the year will recieve an $8 million insurance payment due to his injury.

A Rockets blog I read said dont be shocked if Ming signs with Houston again this summer at a much cheaper price. Assuming he wants to keep playing.

Report: Yao Ming Trade Talks Begin With Bobcats, Kings - SB Nation Houston

The other two are Blatche and McGee from Washington. I guess the fight was enough for the Wizards. I guess they are just gauging interest at this point.

I think Prince still has value depending on situation.

if it's one thing that every team in the league has, it's a 6'7ish guy who can shoot from the corner. Prince is only valuable if teams want to clear cap space. and that would entail them giving the Pistons back a big contract with lots of years on it (and maybe a draft pick or a young player). And who wants to clear cap space this year? For who? There is only one free agent worth having and everyone knows he's going to the Knicks. to top it off, there is uncertainty over the CBA.

I think Prince is a good player, but I don't think he has much value on the trade market.

PS: I'd give Washington whoever they wanted for Blatche & McGee!!!

There's nothing they'd be interested in though... the only trades I see would be laughers in our favor... IE: Villanueva, Stuckey, and McGrady for Blatche, McGee, and either Josh Howard or Al Thornton. Likelihood of that trade happening: LESS than 0%.

I'm salivating just over the thought of Blatche, McGee & Thornton for Stuckey, CV, & McGrady!!!
