2011 NBA Draft

I want someone like Jeremy Tyler in round 2.

I was thinking about him too. Has all the measurements and atheltic ability. 2nd round no guaranteed money....

Even though his development has been slow, I saw some nice things from Stuckey last season and I actually think he is going to be a very nice player in the NBA for a while. But he is not a point guard and I think because everybody evaluates him as a point guard, he takes a lot of criticism that is somewhat undeserved.

He's a 2 guard, and I have always felt he should be at the 2 spot. Don't know what they do with him now...

Shocked he was still around at 8. Great character. They want to win now. Standard stuff.

It's sort of sad, I used to have so much respect for Dumars and now I can hardly take him seriously.

I thought we might hear something like he was the 2nd best player on our board but I guess that is an NFL thing.

I would love to see Stuckey come off the bench and play 30 minutes a night. He could be a nightmare matchup for other teams as our 3rd guard. I think you can use him as a backup at both the point guard and shooting guard positions.

They might have said that. I was pretty busy yelling at Joe

Do you think, given his inconsistent perimeter game and his inability to finish, that he'd make a better SG? I guess, to be fair, guys like Billups took a few years to establish an NBA game but something about Stuckey just bothers me, for lack of a better description, it's his completely undeserved and unearned swagger.

Same, I just hope Joe D doesn't overpay for him..

I'm glad someone else noticed this.

Considering how basically every veteran had a problem with Kuester last year, I am just going to give them all a mulligan.

Pistons should have traded down and took Faried. We need a couple guys like him. We drafted our 10th guard tonight. What a joke!

Yeah, we needed another Jason Maxiell....

Turns out the Bobcats got the draft I asked for. Biyombo and Walker.

This team needed a PG, but is that what they got? Not sure yet. All I know is that we have enough "combo guards" and Joe better do something to fix the guard situation he's created. I don't want to start the season and hear, "well, we were on the phones a lot, but nothing came of it."

Don't like that comparison. Maxiell is a poor rebounder, and doesn't provide nearly the energy JoeD paid him to produce.

Why all in for a project? Name me one project that has ever worked out.

JaJuan goes in the 1st round!! Great news for him and Boiler basketball. He's going to be an excellent pro.

I'm all in for a project, Jeremy Tyler at #33. I have a bad feeling it will super blah SF Jimmy Butler.

I like Butler, but that's partially due to my bias as a Marquette grad.

I'd rather go bigger with the next pick, though, all else equal. Tyler intrigues me but the bust factor seems substantial. Huge upside, though.

Come to think of it, Jimmy Butler wore #33 in college...

Because it is 2nd round, and any big man that fell this far, will be a project. Tyler has lotto talent. Rarely will you find elite measurements with good atheltic ability anywhere but the Lotto.

I would not have minded Jajuan Johnson either, but that is not an issue anymore.
