Future Plans of Ben Wallace

Important part from the article:

Looking for an intimidating lawyer to defend you in a tough case? If you can afford to be patient, Detroit Pistons center Ben Wallace(notes) has just the guy for you: himself.

After he retires, the NBA’s four-time Defensive Player of the Year plans to pursue a law degree to eventually become – what else? – a defense attorney. Wallace, 36, has discussed his ambitions with lawyers in his offseason home in Richmond, Va. He also has begun looking at prospective law schools..................................

Good for Ben Wallace.

Somewhat related topic: I'd be curious to know what other posters would do if they had the free time and money to do whatever they wanted.

Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?

Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.

Peter Gibbons: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?

Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.

Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.

Lawrence: Well, the type of chicks that'd double up on a dude like me do.

Peter Gibbons: Good point.

Lawrence: Well, what about you now? what would you do?

Peter Gibbons: Besides two chicks at the same time?

Lawrence: Well, yeah.

Peter Gibbons: Nothing.

Lawrence: Nothing, huh?

Peter Gibbons: I would relax... I would sit on my a-- all day... I would do nothing.

For me, I'd go back to college and study various topics.

I don't think I could ever go back to school for another degree. I could see myself going to libraries learning about various subjects, but only at my own pace.

This sounds really silly, but my favorite job of my life was working at the neighborhood party store through high school and college. You got to know people, got to find out what was going on with their lives and they did the same with the employees. Maybe I'd just get a job at a nice local party store or some other local buisness. I don't think I'd want to have to worry about owning the place.

One thing I've thought would be cool was to get a small percentage of ownership of a minor league baseball team. That's something I'd probably take a look at doing if possible.

I knew this was going to be posted by someone when I posed the question....
