I guess any big that can shoot is going to get top dollar now.

Markkanen can absolutely shoot.  He is just really bad at everything else, especially defense.

his shooting is very inconsistent, he's always hurt, he can't defend, and he is soft as charmin.

but he will make some three pointers now and then.

Pistons preseason schedule.  First game is Oct 6th.  I assume training camp starts 2-3 weeks before that?

Can't believe preseason starts in a little over a month. Benefit of having the season and draft late,  makes the offseason fly by.

You need those old ring chasers when three guys take up 95% of your salary cap.

the nets really have become the most unlikeable team in the league.

theyre the one team that could make me like the knicks.

This. 100%.

If they meet the Lakers in the finals, I'll have to root for LA - and you have no idea how much that hurts. That's how unlikeable this Nets team is.

And the Pistons just helped them by taking Jordan's contract and actually giving them Sekou as well. They did get four 2nds but unless the Nets have some potential high 2nds conveyed to them, not a great trade.

Also seeing that the Pistons may be reluctant to give Sekou his extension because he hasn't shown enough. And I think that's coming up soon.

I'd like to keep Sekou to see if he can grow into something... but don't know what his potential could be...

I think Weaver would prefer to sell early (obviously he did) and get what he can before everyone finds out that Sekou isn't going to get there.

But... Just guessing...

Pretty sure it’s less cap next year. Weaver loves his dead money.

so you trade a guy for four worthless late second round picks and $20 million in dead money over the next two years?  i would assume there is another move coming, right?

Good guess....................for D'Andre Jordan and four second-round draft picks.   They're buying out Jordan.      Weave & Yzerman finding ways.............
