5/2 @ 1:05 Detroit Tigers vs New York Yankees

Recommended Posts

AJ Hinch is trying to bite his tongue in the post game presser about the hitters.  It looked to me like he is already defeated, and knows that this team is not going to hit at all, and  may lost 110-115 games.

He did give Kluber some credit, but essentially said that his team has to produce.

He still has to be saying, I could have waited for ANY other org, and i chose this clown show

You know how they have the new intentional walk rule where you just signal from the dugout? Why can’t we just skip to the end of the season, surrender our few good players for some middle infield prospects that can’t hit, and collect our draft picks without having to endure this shame?

Some guy named Beaty has 7 RBI for the Dodgers through 4 innings today.  That would put him 5th on the Tigers team for the entire year, and 3 away from being alone in 2nd on the team (29 games)

Tomorrow is an off day; and they come home Thursday night from Boston.

I assume they are going to re-arrange a lot of the deck chairs on the Motown Tanitic this week.

Craig Monroe has been SLURPING on the Tigers hitters in the top of the 6th, and saying how KLUBER has been amazing.

How about the hitters just adjust?

Oh yeah, Miggy with ANOTHER easy out.  It is getting really sad to see him make easy out after easy out after easy out, he is down to .118, with an OPS of .450

I hate to say it but I think it's time to buy out his contract.

Congrats for Urena first off. Great game. Onto the Tigers post game.. How can C-Mo get so much mileage out of a single is beyond me but he did go on for a few minutes to "highlight" the Tiger's game. Yeah, a whole buildup of pitches and at bats to highlight a Candy single just about sums up this season.

the sponsors have bought the time, they have to do something to fill it.

If this were the Titanic, you'd think it would already be resting on the bottom of the ocean at this point

Hinch is right where he belongs, on a team full of guys that no one else wants. Didn't he hire some new age hitting coach?

No, Coolbaugh isn't a "new age" hitting coach. Fetter would qualify for that distinction as a pitching coach.

There is an incredible amount of pressure on the Titanic.  I can only hope that similarity holds WRT Chris and AA.  Kinda doubt it, unfortunately.  As long as the profits provides them with a top-flight diving bell, they can happily remain at the bottom of the ocean indefinitely....bathroom and food is a question I guess.

Regarding Cabrera:

The discussion around “eating his contract” comes up in discussion fairly often. In my opinion, as long as he is getting paid, be it at first base, DH, whatever, they are eating his contract. He can’t come close to producing anything that warrants what he gets paid, NOT even close. And yes I know he’s not blocking anyone. Every dollar spent on him is sunk money.

It appears the baseball gods caught up with Hinch after all.

Ok thanks, I forgot his name and his background

The moral of the story is if your team has no talent, it does not matter who the manager is.

Nothing is going to change until the names do.

Keating: “pitching clinic by Kluber”

I mean doesn’t every starting pitcher in baseball do this to this team?

Personally, I wouldn't toss Keating into the slurper group.  I think ol' Stevey Knight can toss out some dry high wind fire warning sarcasm, and he's got the requisite tenure to do so.

I suspect Keats would be a good one to have a beer or three with.
