Would be refreshing if Shep or Jack went full Bob Ueker honesty during a broadcast sometime...

1-0 in the first, this one is over early.  And Skubal has thrown 25 pitches to the first 4 hitters, may only last 3 innings.  Then, bullpen time.  Going to be a fun one today

I know I’m speaking of the obvious, but this just isn’t fun to watch at all. It’s sad.

I think Skubal is going to down to Toledo soon.

Mize at least has flashes of being a good starter and it makes sense to let him work through things in Detroit. Skubal isn't even close to ready for MLB and Toledo's season is starting in a few days now.

This is my feel as well. Probably here until Boyd  gets back, then down to Toledo

they have to get him out, don't want to totally crush any confidence Skubal may have.

Avila has managed to put together a squad that may only be a .500 team, in AAA ball.

I admit that even at times like this that I worry that things could get worse....what I need right now is KL2 to remind me that losing a ton for 5 years isn't quite as awesome as losing for 7 years.

It might even be after tonight. They have a lot vet AAA starters they could call up for a spot start if needed.

I don't see how this is helping his development. Skubal probably needed to experience AAA ball before MLB, unfortunately. His release points have been all over the place tonight, and he's already had a drop off in his spin rates this season too.

I am shocked every time a Tiger fouls one off.  God forbid they put it into play

There have to be a few fall guys for this disaster. Probably another front office reorganization with Avila having diminished power. It will be mostly cosmetic.

It could be worse.  You could be playing for the Tigers.  Think how embarrassing that would be.  Instead, you just have to watch/listen to them.

Maybe this team will be able to avail themselves of the short fences. It’s possible.

Or not. At least it’s not a no-hitter.

Once the ballpark is back to 100%, they're going to see how much damage they're doing to their brand with this product. Maybe they'll learn.

Chris needs to make the point his dad did it the wrong way. We’re going to be the Chicago Cubs in the ‘50s but without an Ernie Banks.

I have to tell you, I don't care how bad it is from a losing and bad play standpoint....give me just one game in the major leagues, any game, and I would die a happy man.  I realize being on a bad team would grind you down, but man, living the dream of playing professional sports for a living....it would be impossible for me to beat that thrill, even if I was losing.

I know a couple of guys who played minor league ball and they just loved it.  One even got a spring training invite, he said he would live like that every day, and he's a very happy and wealthy businessman and family man now.

It feels as if half of the Yankees at bats have gone to a 3 ball count.  And they have fouled a ton of pitches off.  Granted it is Skubal and Farmer (Both who should be sent down after the game), but man ....

Yankees are going to have some fun this weekend, pad their stats on both sides of the ball.

This season has gotten super embarassing super quick.

Franchises which can't spend liberally and decide to take stupid paths to retooling will end up embarrassed

Turnbull is basically the Tigers best chance at avoiding a sweep. But, of course, he's limited to two runs to give up.
