Texans drill a 51 yard FG to tie it up.  38-38 with 18 secs left to go.  Looks like OT.

I could see Washington being interested. If they make the playoffs, their pick will be a mid first. I could see Snyder and Rivera wanting a veteran QB.

Wentz has the connection to Reich and would probably cost less so he makes sense for the Colts.

Stafford would light it up in that Saints offense. I know he didn't look good when Lombardi was the offensive coordinator in Detroit but I could see Payton turning him loose.

the saints spent a ton of money on their backup qb, they aint trading for stafford's contract.

But presumably they would be losing Drew Brees contract.

but they gave a monster contract to their backup.  starter money.  i expect sean payton to start the guy if brees leave, if nothing else but to show everyone how smart he was for signing him to that deal when everyone else said he was crazy.

Wow.  Houston gives up a 50 yard pass to AJ brown.  18 secs left, cover 4, and they didn’t cover the deep guy. Unreal Houston.  Texans drill a game winning FG.   Lions will pick 6th or 7th.  Philly wins tonight, it will be 6th.  Philly loses, it will be 7th.

He's only under contract for one more year and is only two years younger than Stafford. I cannot imagine they would pass on Stafford for Taysom Hill.

Saved for a rainy day in 2025

you'll have forgotten about him by then and moved on to 8 or 9 other qbs between now and then who you're sure will be superstars.  just like sam darnold.

If wentz came to the lions I’d quit.  I couldn’t take that misery.  Fields dropping does seem like a pipe dream.  But maybe the jets fall in love with Zach Wilson.

ive now seen two mock drafts having the lions take Kwity Paye.  How the **** is Paye considered a top 10 pick?  One mock has Paye has high as 4 to the falcons.  That’s wrong.

There's always one physical freak with limited production that scouts fall in love with and Paye seems to be that guy this year. He reminds me of Ansah in that respect.

Wilson and Lance scare me because they haven't played anybody. Wilson somewhat struggled against probably the best defense he faced in Coastal Carolina which illustrates how truly crappy their schedule was. They both have the physical tools but are very boom/bust.

Yeah, the Dolphins will probably pass on a QB this year that is way better than Tua.  They threw away the playoffs too.

I’m still not sold on Fields. He performed well against Clemson, but his games against Northwestern and Indiana were both really dreadful. And while both of those teams performed better this year than historically, neither is even close to what he will face at the NFL level. Which QB will the NFL team that selects him to be a franchise QB get? The star who shone in the CFP or the kid who threw 3 picks to Indiana and was 12/27 with 2 picks to Northwestern?

Trey Lance intrigues me more than him to be honest and is more likely to be available at #6 or #7. Coming from North Dakota State, he is the kind of prospect who could sit behind Stafford for one or two years and really develop into something special if you don’t rush him.

I'm also not sold on Fields.  We have seen this from OSU QBs before.

I see the Lions are interviewing Saleh this week. So they not gonna let the GM hire the coach?   They need to a GM hired stat.  Get it done.

This season wasn’t real.  Don’t put too much stock into what happened.

I’m much more concerned with his many injuries going back to high school than anything that happened vs Indiana and Northwestern.     His medicals remind me of Sam Darnold coming into the league and we saw what’s happened with his ability to stay healthy.

Ohio St. has never had an elite pro prospect QB until Haskins and even Haskins had major question marks coming into the draft.

With that said, Fields does have some question marks but his upside is immense. The mobility and arm strength is top notch so if he was to magically fall to the Lions, they'd be dumb to pass him up.

Pretty odd that they're interviewing a coach without a GM. I'm guessing that the GM will be hired this week.

Sure to an extent, but you also have to make do with what you have in terms of a body of work when evaluating these guys. Lance played in one game this whole season, and wasn't too hot in it. Do you cross him off your board because of it? Though that's probably a poor example because some teams probably will write him off for his lack of college in-game experience.

All the same, Lawrence and Lance are the only two prospects that interest me, at least early.

They’ve said all along that they would be open minded in their approach, including the possibility of hiring a coach first, then a GM.

On top of this, they already hired their football ops guy in Spielman.

I don't think they've had the opportunity to interview all of their GM candidates yet. Probably want to make sure they don't miss out on a candidate like Saleh if a team like the Jets (who already have their GM in place) comes calling him too.

Seriously though, Pederson should be investigated for intentionally tanking. That scrub he put in the game might be the worst QB I've ever seen, worse than Dan-O, and he puts him in down by 3 in the 4th quarter. **** was fishy as heck.
