  1. "Is your tractor running? Well, you'd better go catch it!"
  2. Possibly they wanted to avoid an implicit comparison to the current Tigers pitcher, which would create the suggestion that they are advocating bringing him up.
  3. The AL standings right now are all kinds of weird. TB-NY-BAL-TOR-BOS in the east, SEA-TEX-OAK-HOU-LAA in the west.
  4. Even with this hot start, fans still have low expectations for the Tigers. And it looks like this was the first decent weather weekend day of the spring in Michigan, so a lot of people probably decided to go do outdoor stuff before the next cold snap (there's a small chance of accumulating snow in parts of Michigan later this week).
  5. The Tigers now have the shortest average game length/time in MLB at 2:43.
  6. Leadoff triple for Toronto and they don't score? Are we sure this is the Tigers we're watching?
  7. Hopefully this year's opening day extra innings go better than last time.
  8. I'm guessing they did that to get fans in their seats for their super-special pregame show.
  9. Or, they do stream the pregame show, but they must have been told the pregame ceremonies would be lengthy. So they didn't start until now.
  10. So far, that seems to be the case. Oh wait, here they are. Looks like they don't stream the pregame show anymore.
  11. To be fair, Southeastern is the reigning NAIA college champion, which is the college equivalent of being the top AAA baseball team.
  12. I don't think they typically do the pregame show for spring training games.
  13. My favorite part of the drug ads is always the part where they tell you not to take [drug] if you're allergic to [same drug].
  14. It's not that people don't know the term, it's that a slip of the tongue when introducing the "colored analyst" can cost someone a career. Also, calling someone a "color guy" implies that the PBP person is too boring to hear alone, and cheapens the value of the analyst by saying he's only there to spice up the broadcast.
