Of course.  But, the public health considerations would mean that the people not getting vaccinated are going to keep Corona a problem much longer so no Ohio State Football and no Penn State Football games.

Yes, but freedumbs now.

Have you noticed the camera shots of fans at these bowl games?  Masks in the seats clearly aren’t being enforced.  And it’s not due to people consuming food.

COVID injection update - the day after...

........arm is pretty sore at the injection site and that doesn't happen to me with flu shots, but it only hurts to sleep on it, it's much better than, you know, getting COVID.

....Bill Gates is funnier than I imagined, he's actually a pretty nice guy.   He called me to give me some tips on Excel when I was making a favorite 100 albums spreadsheet,  I didn't know he was such a Ben Folds fan.

I saw Ben at the Royal Oak arts beats thing back in 2018. He remembered the train tracks from before.

Not at all.  But I have been long aware that most vaccines have these protections for the manufacturers.  Particularly those which are mandated.  My concern is free speech and full disclosure of information.

But you didn't answer my question.

400,000 deaths by Inauguration Day is a slam dunk now.  Probably 420,000.

So the flu basically?

I'm sure that's a huge concern of yours...

I don't see anything wrong with the billboard. But I can also admit there's a fine line between "factual information" and trying to mislead people and I'm not going to pretend they're different just so I can play "I'm right and you're wrong" on the message board.

If you want people to get on the lifeboat and you have multiple public figures getting on the lifeboat and begging others to get on the lifeboat you don't emphasize to the general population that lifeboats are suspect or that the lifeboat is part of some elaborate conspiracy.

Unless you are some sort of conspira-anoiac or easily susceptible to the schemes of the people propagating those insane views.

God told me that the Ark is the last hope for all God's creatures....but I saw on a billboard on the Ohio Turnpike Noah isn't liable if the Ark sinks and he might be getting a pretty primo spot on the Ark unlike those filthy crap-throwing rhesus monkeys who get to ride out the rain in steerage.

UM student quarantine housing finally showing zero occupancy as of today.  Still a couple of dozen off campus student and staff positives however.

I can’t believe we are doing this.

and the IT analyst thing isn’t wrong. I know someone locally who got hers. I don’t begrudge them because they are in a hospital but at the same time there are other vulnerable people. I don’t know the answer.  I’m not supposed to.  But a hospital gets X number of doses and they can’t just go give it to anyone on the outside.  Was there a legit plan?  What was the point of operation warp speed?  Pfizer made them.  FedEx shipped them. What did the US government do other than be a middleman that warranted all the self praise?

Isn’t this kind of thing the reason we have a federal government?

We have a federal government to tell us who we can marry, what women can do with their uterus, and what bathrooms we can use. We also have the occasional military parade.

There is likely some department that already figured this stuff out years ago, but they're not Trump people

Didn’t the Obama transition team run a scenario on something like this bit the Trump transition team ignored it. They have also seemed to have lost the paperwork that went along with it.

I remember back in the 60s standing in line in a high school gym to get a polio vaccination. I don’t remember all the details since I was probably about six or seven. But then it was sugar cubes, probably didn’t need the storage the current vaccine does.

Also different times

He got rid of them because there was no pandemic and he doesn’t like to pay people with nothing to do.  He’s a businessman.

To sound good ahead of election day.

What, you think there was substance to something coined by the Trump crew?

I heard this same exact story last week from a different source, someone that would have been about a decade older than you, and from rural western Ohio.

Been there, done that!

And here's a little background for the post boomer gens.

Quote

Though poliovirus has long been present in the environment, the disease, unlike smallpox or influenza, had triggered no major outbreaks around the world. Why it took root in Western nations, especially the United States, during the 20th century is still a matter of debate. Some researchers pointed to more careful reporting and better diagnostic techniques. Others noted the circulation of more virulent strains of poliovirus, capable of multiplying at a ferocious rate. Still others saw a correlation between the spread of polio and the ever-increasing standards of personal hygiene in the United States—people were less likely to come into contact with poliovirus early in life when the infection is milder and maternal antibodies offer temporary protection. Put simply, America’s antiseptic revolution brought risks as well as rewards.....

...In truth, polio was never the raging epidemic portrayed by the media, not even at its height in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Ten times as many children would be killed in accidents in these years, and three times as many would die of cancer. What had changed following World War II was the incidence of polio in the United States as well as the rising age of the victims, a quarter of whom were now older than 10. From 1940 to 1944, reported polio cases doubled to eight per 100,000, doubled again to 16 per 100,000 between 1945 and 1949, and climbed to 25 per 100,000 from 1950 to 1954, before peaking at 37 per 100,000 in 1952. “The United States had never experienced a higher crest of the epidemiological wave,” a journalist noted of the 57,000 reported cases that year, “and never would again.”
