You mean like all the credit he gets for the last 3 years for the booming economy?

The economy had been OK (if you don't mind 24 trillion debt or whatever it's up to now) for about 10 years.  It was not created by any president and it wasn't booming.

Well, good for him. Speaking up for what is true and what he believes. I remember when AIDS first came to light, the distrust of anyone who might have it. There was a certain segment of society who believed it was contagious by just being around someone who had the virus. Drinking fountains or public bathrooms? No freaking way. I bet many of those same folks who discriminated against the gay community also are the biggest believers that this Coronavirus is a hoax. Ignorant then and ignorant now.

But Donald has been telling the world that our economy was booming, best it's ever been. Maybe even in all of history. And it's all his doing, the no good Democrats fight him every step of the way, according to him.

As for the Coronavirus? I could see Trump asking his advisers how many people will die if he opens certain parts of the economy. How many deaths are acceptable? 10k? 20k? Heck, he says people want to get back to work. Hello...they want to get back to work to pay their bills, you fat ignorant slob.

Fauci is a Dem. plant.  It's all part of a socialist plot to take down the cult leader.

The same credit Whitmer will get when she tanks the agricultural industry, in addition to all the other nonsense in her order. I'm rooting for her to get the VP pick so we can see the last of her. It would also insure the VP pick is just as clueless as the candidate.

Butwhatabout hillary... deflect, deflect, deflect.

Trump only saved 2.1 million lives?  My posts have saved 4.20 million lives.

I had no idea that you were such a fan of the Bill Clinton presidency.

I know that you are not a hypocrite and if you give Trump all the credit for our economic growth then the same is true and a lot more for Willy.   8 years of 4% annual growth, 20M+ jobs and massive 210% SP500 growth.   According to your measuring stick,  Clinton may be the greatest President in American history.

I don't own a northern michigan cottage. But hypothetically getting in one's car in metro Detroit, driving to Traverse City or Gaylord, pulling into your driveway at the cottage, then sitting on your boat or in your yard seems quite similar to what you would be doing in Detroit. Fail to see how that is spreading anything. Yet someone living in Toledo could drive to the same house in Traverse City and that's...ok?

A host with this virus can be asymptomatic for a significant amount of time prior to exhibiting any symptoms of the virus, if they even do in a small amount of cases.

When someone gets in their car and drives from Detroit (or Toledo) and drives into an area like TC or Gaylord, given the high preponderance of asymptomatic carriers, they may very well be carrying the virus into an area where it may not be or not as prominent as it is in Detroit (or Toledo). And they may not even realize it.

It's no coincidence that a lot of rural counties nationwide disproportionately feeling the effects of this virus (Otsego Co MI, Gallatin Co MT, Monroe Co PA, Eagle Co CO, etc.) are getaway destinations for people from urban areas. People are bringing the virus with them when they travel.

EDIT: While not being nearly as big of a tourist destination as TC or Gaylord, folks where I grew up in the Thumb do express the same concerns of people driving up to their cottage on Lake Huron or Saginaw Bay and spreading virus around grocery stores or other essential businesses. It's a legit concern IMO

But didn't Clinton balance the budget?

So you are saying driving from your home in metro detroit (where you are literally sitting in your house) to traverse city and literally... sitting in your vacation house...or on a lake with almost no one on it is going to create significant seeding activity?

The argument makes no sense on its own....but when you allow people from Toledo to do the same damn thing, it's even more laughable.

I urge everyone to rewatch Chernobyl

Valery Legasov : “When the truth offends, we lie and lie, until we can no longer remember it is ever there. But it is still there. Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later, that debt is paid.”

You mean the president that raised middle class hourly wages to $7.43 an hour in 1996 from $7.41 in 1992 when he raised the top tax rate? Yes, I remember that. The only time wages grew during his presidency is when he finally decided to decrease the capital gains tax. Which should, incidentally, be on the table right now. I'd be all for a 5-10% rate for a period of years on long term gains, or even a holiday on capital gains taxes for the remainder of 2020.

First of all, I don't allow anything.... nobody from Toledo should be driving up there. I would assume that nobody is being encouraged to make that trip

Second of all, in all reality, people stop for gas/convenience stores along the way. They hit the grocery store when they get to town. All opportunities to spread virus.

And that's provided they stick the rules... many will not and are not mindful of the places they are going to or the residents of these areas. Because the general public, for better or worse, often doesn't think about how their actions affect others.

And the hospitals in many of these rural places can't handle the challenges of dealing with multiple cases of the coronavirus.
