Outside of the Knicks and an injury depleted Warriors team, New Orleans is the worst team in basketball.  Good spot to steal a road win.

Curious to see how they handle Magic in this.  Are they going to have chicks blowing him in the locker room at halftime?

Adam McKay’s L.A. Lakers Project Gets Series Order At HBO

Quote

Written by Max Borenstein (Godzilla), based on Pearlman’s book, The Untitled Lakers Project is a fast-break series chronicling the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers, one of sports’ most revered and dominant dynasties—a team that defined its era, both on and off the court.

Cast includes John C. Reilly as Jerry Buss; Jason Clarke as Jerry West; Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson; Solomon Hughes as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; Gaby Hoffmann as Claire Rothman; Hadley Robinson as Jeanie Buss; DeVaughn Nixon as Norm Nixon; Molly Gordon as Linda Zafrani; Rob Morgan as Earvin Johnson Sr.; Spencer Garrett as Chick Hearn; Kirk Bovill as Donald Sterling; Delante Desouza as Michael Cooper; Stephen Adly Guirgis as Frank Mariani; Tamera Tomakili as Earletha ‘Cookie’ Kelly and Joey Brooks as Lon Rosen.

Pelicans getting bent over by the Mavs right now.  104-66 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Luka is done for the night.  26 minutes, 26 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists.

Pelicans are awful.

Visions of John Teske and Zavier Simpson will be haunting John Beilein's uneasy dreams.

Beilein will be fine.  Koby will have to help him out a bit and get rid of the guys not buying in.  But give Beilein a young team with one or two vets who are buying in and he will do OK there.

The Pelicans are downright brutal right now. This needs to be a win with Dallas and Houston coming up. We don't have anyone to guard Ingram, though.

Oh yeah, the game Thursday against Dallas is in Mexico.  No Luka in Detroit this year since the Mexico game is our home game.

Same distance from the 3rd pick in the draft as the 7th seed in the East. It's not too late to trade Dre and "load manage" Blake more to work at getting out of mediocre-ville.

I don't know.  They could be looking at the Pistons coming into town and think, hey, this 9-14 outfit shouldn't be too difficult to handle.
