But maybe it would get us a clean sweep of the front office and our coaches. Lions fans biggest hope, in my lifetime, has been in the next coach.

If you want a new staff, Stafford being out is bad news. Everybody owner would consider that and not likely fire guys because your franchise QB missed half the year

Jeff Driskel wasn't exactly awful last year. He was better than Trubisky is this year. I think this game will be closer than people think.

What obvious picks did they miss early? Stafford, Suh and Johnson were the best possible they could have made.

I said they didn't miss obvious picks early - they just don't ever get enough depth out of their drafts as a whole.

If you want to be critical, the Suh pick may have been an obvious one, but in the end they still did not get enough total value out of it.

Who's his backup? When Mack knocks him out cold, do we have a 3rd stringer?

So who should they have drafted instead of Suh?

That's true. We couldn't expect to carry a talented backup to a player who never misses a game. But keeping Patricia? Wow, our owner would have to not really care about the win-loss record. The bottom line is the one thing she cares about?

?

Again, every owner would take the fact a team lost its franchise QB for a half a year when looking at the win loss record. It would be like the packers firing thier coach if Aarron rodgers was lost for the year.

Suh was a great pick.

True, but if Aaron Rogers' coach was supposed to be a defensive genius and the team had the worst defense in the NFL, and was 3-4-1 BEFORE the star QB got hurt, they might fire him anyway seeing that he was not good enough.

At least bevell is still setting up 3rd and long with runs that go no where.

Fade route.  Should never ever be in a football playbook. It never works and is a guaranteed wasted play.  2 of the 3 play calls in the goal to go offense were garbage.

Punting from the 40, no one better in the NFL at that then the lions.  No team stalls in no mans land like Detroit.

Patricia is such a joke.  Won’t go for it on 4th and inches.  There is nothing to lose.

Get him away from this team.

Run play, penalty.  Shocker.  Bevell needed only one play to stall the drive.

Yes.  I hate the fade pattern.  The ugliest and most useless play in football.  It's like a Hail Mary in the Red Zone, except with an even lower success rate than actual Hail Marys.

Lol, cheating refs pick up the flag.  Nothing like the refs cheating as hard as they can against the lions even without stafford.
