Lions @ Green Bay 10/14

Recommended Posts

Off topic from the game but ESPN did a 2017 redraft and they had Goloday going at 8th overall to the Chargers.

It's nice to see the Lions actually have a player that gets picked way higher than they originally did in one of these redrafts.  You don't see that very often or atleast I haven't.

Especially from the end of the 3rd round all the way to 8th. I also remember some experts thought Quinn reached for Golladay even.

Who are the 7 ahead of him?

I'm guessing Mahomes, McCaffrey, Watson, Kamara, JuJu, Watt and Garrett?

Almost, they had Jamal Adams not Watt but those were the other guys.  They of course had Mahomes going 1st.

I only saw the top 10 so I couldn't see where Davis would've went or who they would've had the Lions taking.

That's some great company that Golloday is in. It's unlikely that he'll ever crack that top 7 because those are elite players but homerun pick for Quinn either way.

I went back and checked and I was wrong, they actually had him going 7 not 8 right infront of Kamara.  I guess they only did the top 10.

A lot of people had been slobbering over Cleveland this year. Lets not forget they traded away the opportunity to draft Wentz and then Watson.

I would take Kamara over Golloday but I can see an argument either way. Kenny has some proving to do IMO.

That wasn't current GM John Dorsey though. That said, I was one of those people that looked at the Browns on paper at the start of the season and thought they were for sure a playoff team. On a side note, OBJ is killing me in fantasy by not producing much of anything.

Edit, Dorsey did pass up on drafting Watson, I was wrong there.

KC lost to Indy and houston - our close game meant nothing except a home loss.

So you’re saying KC is awful?  Indy and Houston are good football teams.

Same on the fantasy.   I’m trying to trade OBJ. He stinks.

My roster looks great on paper but I'm a pedestrian 3-3 this season. OBJ and Hopkins are killing me (though Hopkins delivered me a week two win) because they are constantly delivering less than double-digit point totals. On my pre-draft spreadsheet I put together I was prepared to draft up to four Browns offensive players I felt that confident in them (Chubb, Hunt Mayfield, OBJ). I ended with OBJ and Hunt and still feel like an idiot for buying into the hype without an actual down of football having been played.

Maybe the Lions exposed the Chiefs and gave teams a blueprint on how to beat them? Prior to playing Detroit, Kansas City was just toying with opponents.

It's not who you play, it's when you play them.

I honestly don't give a crap that Kansas City lost two straight games and thus apparently making the loss look less impressive or that Philly and the Chargers lost and thus apparently making those wins less impressive. It's a different team every week in the NFL and a lot is dependent on matchups and luck quite frankly.

All I care about is that they make their presence known in the division, that's where the season will be won or lost. There will be no "moral" victories in this division especially with the quality of the division being higher than it has been in years, they need to win the majority of games. I'd say that anything less than 4-2 and they will be fighting with the numerous other teams for a wild card spot.

As for tonight, I don't expect a win but man would a win in Green Bay against a 4-1 Green Bay team WITH a healthy Aaron Rodgers be massive.

No how did you get one from the other???

Lions "almost" beat KC.  Its not like they almost beat the greatest team in the world - KC lost the next 2 games one of which was at home.

Lions need to win and win tonight.  Close isn't cutting it.
