No problems with letting the clock run out on the first half.  They were on the road with a 10 point lead and getting the ball to start the second half.

Agreed.  It was the right call.

Redskins might be worse than the dolphins.  Looking ahead, there are some really bad MNF games.

This is pretty funny too.  Opposing fans just can't get their heads around losing to the Lions!

This championship pedigree Eagles coaching staff only had 10 people on the field on the Lions big run.

You saying this about 10 times doesn't make it any less annoying each time. Maybe it's time to move on?

I'm pretty much rolling with it until the Kansas City game. I'm hoping Philadelphia shows their championship pedigree against Green Bay. It seems very Jim Schwartz-ish that they would have only 10 players on the field. If the Lions would've scored, he would've taken Pederson's challenge flag and thrown it on the field.

Ok. Cool?

They do have Championship Pedigree though. I yearn for the day when the Lions head coach has a playoff win pedigree.

Speaking of the Eagles coaching, no talk about how they screwed up the end of the half? The Lions were suppose to call timeouts to get the ball back with about 30 seconds and no timeouts, Philadelphia had the ball with 52 seconds and a timeout. They were down 10 and kicking off and decided to run out the clock. They had time and a timeout to get a FG.

They can't hear your criticism with their championship rings plugging in their ears. ?

They only have one ring so one ear has to be open. Meanwhile, Patricia has his rings in his ears to silence the haters.

Also, Frank Reich isn't on the staff anymore and the Eagles offense hasn't been the same. So far they are 10-9 without Reich.

After the sack they wisely let the clock run out rather than rush up and spike the ball then almost throw an interception.

This was the 3rd game in a row they struggled in the 1st half.   All 3 games they were much better in the 2nd half.  Based on how they played afterwards, it seems like they did the right thing by playing it safe and ending the half.

Because NFL rules state the team spiking the ball must throw a pass to the opposing team along the sideline. There are no other options if the team decides to run the clock. The championship pedigree Eagles coaching staff didn't have the option of doing a hurry up and running a play or using their timeout. Meanwhile, we wanted the Lions to call a timeout to help them.

Are we watching the same games?  Better in the 2nd half?  We are 9th in first half scoring and 26th in 2nd half points scored.

The defense has been a little better in the first half.

Mlive has a fascinating interview with JD McKissic who laid a crushing block to spring Agnew for the 100 yard return. Along with the block, he had the team’s longest run, 44 yards on the double reverse which led to a FG to put the Lions up by 7. I’d say he deserves a game ball.

They didn’t need the extra time to make the obvious decision.

Whether you agree with the decision or not it’s obvious that the coach and players were on the same page as to how to handle this scenario.

Of course they didn't need extra time. I'm responding to the dig you are making at me. This is a much different scenario being end of half, more time on the clock, and Philadelphia with a timeout. Apparently the Lions coach and players were on the same page in the Arizona game as they called a downfield pass after Stafford spiked the ball. Philadelphia still had the ball on 2nd down around the 25 with a timeout and plenty of timeout left. They even called a couple timeouts to get the ball back on the previous Lions drive only to attempt one pass and then run out the clock.

Just based on DVOA at football outsiders and home/road effects, I think the Lions would be projected to go around 10-5-1 at this point.  The next two games look like losses on paper.
