It's that first one that made me suprised we didn't pick up a reliever on a one year deal. maybe they still will. If they aren't very good, oh well tehy still eat 20 innings. If they are you can flip em for a lottery ticket.

I think the way Illitch and Avila address this is by bringing back A Wilson. I actually am rooting for the guy. Like Boyd he seemed to being a bit of leadership to the dugout

Well, someone is happy with Daddy.

Edit: It doesn't say in the tweet, but that someone is Evan Woodbery.

Oh heck I missed it! I look forward to this as much as I do my yearly colonoscopy.

This is not unlike a teacher giving an A to a student whose dad holds the mortgage on her house.

In other news, Monica Anne looks like a blast to hang out with.

Does he give one hundred and ten percent? Does he want it more? Does he have the look of a champion? Can you see it in his eyes?

I thought the knock against Paredes was that he was anything but a grinder and gave much less than 100%.

I got the impression that was more about whether he had the discipline off the field to manage his weight.  So far as I have seen, he looks fine in the images coming North this Spring.

Can you be a grinder with a weight problem? He's not living the life of a grinder if he's not managing his weight.

The ball just makes a different sound off of his bat.

He has the will to win.

Why did he give the Tigers 3 more losses than they actually had?

We're grading on a curve this year.

Heard on a Tigers podcast that there have been rumblings that Paredes might be older than reported.

Honestly depending on how many years older he really is I wonder if this would be such a bad thing?  I mean most people's main concern is his weight, if say he is really 22 instead of 19 does that lessen the concern at all?

If they find out now, it doesn't matter much.  But if they find out when he is 33 when in reality he is 36, it could change the way he is valued.

3 years in the hypothetical is a huge deal.

"podcast' = someone credible or = someone in their parent's basement?

That would mean the Cubs signed him at "15" when he was 18.

I'd have to guess there are more 15 yrs olds that could pass for 18 than vice versa but whatever gets  you a contract.......?

Three years would make a big difference in how I view him.  One of the reasons I am excited about him is that he is having success at such a young age.   If he is really 22, then he's still a good prospect, but not quite as intriguing.

Q:What do you get when you cross Seattle Mike with a grinder?

A: Seattle's Best
