Joe is excited about his promotion to the role of closer At least he won’t have to worry about burning his arm out the rest of this season.

Can they just forfeit the season at this point? This is getting too embarassing to be considered mlb...

Slow game thread today. Did space aliens land or something and I’m just out of touch and didn’t realize it?

DISH and FSD took my games away, I'm slowly finding other ways to waste my time.

Mark Thumond

You may remember him from: San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, never going on the DL

In 1986 when his ERA was 1.92 his FIP was 4.86. Wow.

We need to really pick up the pace to get to 120 losses. We are currently on pace for about 114. If we're going to be this bad, I want to be historically bad.

Looks like after a stellar start Travis Demeritte has been Tigerized.

He may be the next Chris Pittaro.

As a member of the San Diego Padres, Mark Thurmond was a member of the John Birch Society. The John Birch Society is a right wing political group. Former Padres Dave Dravecky and Eric Show were also members of the John Birch Society. I never had any respect for these three players.

I don't think I would have wanted to hang around with those guys, but I really don't care what athletes think about politics.  I am glad politics is kept out of this forum.
