No boys, your dinner isn’t ready because the game thread is more interesting than your selfish needs. There’s Hungry Man dinners in the freezer and at least one of you is smart enough to use the microwave.

I don't like being called a "ponce".  I know that it is somewhat archaic as a pejorative, but it still stings when someone calls you that.  But just imagine what it would be like, to be such a ponce that they made you a shirt  with "Ponce" on the front, and forced you to wear it all day.

Well, at least if you were to create an image in your mind of a finely tuned athlete, Jack would come immediately to mind.

The poster or the player?

I think of them as one and the same - sort of the holy duality of MTS.

It’s really more of a trinity with Dmitri.

that signature looks like... like it was quite the effort.

Almost like he got pulled over on suspicion of DUI and was asked to sign his name to demonstrate sobriety.

Or he wasn't quite sure how to spell his name.

"Is it one L, or two?"

The Tigers entire offense last night was a single from Nick? Well, there goes one of our chances to be no-hit this season. Too bad we didn't already unload the ungrateful bum. : )

Thank you.    And more evidence that I'm unworthy to even comment on it.

Just did quick research.

That is not a regular issue card ..nor even a sub-set card.  It is referred to as a ACEO Art Baseball card.

https://portasite.com/index.php/2018/01/19/aceo-cards/

Typically these were done by a sole artist, often times single print ..have little to no value unless the artist is famous.  Sometimes an artist would do a couple hundred slight variations of the same card ..for example ..with Jack Whillock's card maybe put an old English "D" on that ugly helmet ..and then claim 'single one-of-a-kind' print.

My guess is that IF Jack Whillock actually signed that card, ..he may have done it holding just the card in his hand (not on any flat solid surface) ..and signed slow enough to not puncture the paper (ACEO Art cards were usually not at thick as regular cards) ..and/or to write legibly.

Remember him?, Bert, and Liston posts are pretty much the only reason I come into game threads.
