OMF on Axios.

Herman Cain dies from coronavirus

Quote

What they're saying: "Let me deal with some of the particulars of the last few weeks. We knew when he was first hospitalized with COVID-19 that this was going to be a rough fight. He had trouble breathing and was taken to the hospital by ambulance," Dan Calabrese wrote in a statement on Cain's website.

"We all prayed that the initial meds they gave him would get his breathing back to normal, but it became clear pretty quickly that he was in for a battle. We didn't release detailed updates on his condition to the public or to the media because neither his family nor we thought there was any reason for that."

"There were hopeful indicators, including a mere five days ago when doctors told us they thought he would eventually recover, although it wouldn't be quick. We were relieved to be told that, and passed on the news via Herman's social media. And yet we also felt real concern about the fact that he never quite seemed to get to the point where the doctors could advance him to the recovery phase."

I live in a vote by mail state (Oregon).  A couple of years ago, I got called by the county clerks office saying my vote didn't count because my signature didn't match.  My signature has deteriorated over the years, so I don't blame them for throwing it out.

They told me how to transfer my signature from my drivers' license to my voter registration, which is I was able to do online.  Problem solved, and by the way, someone is paying attention.

Voter fraud my ***.

I can cite no examples at the moment.

I think it was this guy who said it.

I dropped my ballot off at my local city clerk's office. I didn't get a sticker though, I guess I'll use the one from 2016 or 2018. I forget. 20200730_125531.thumb.jpg.74ed7db683605dd5d197205a7406e408.jpg.

There isn't even a point to voting in this primary. Almost everyone is unopposed. I'm just voting to see how quickly they process my ballot.

I don't understand, BLM and lockdown protests both were totally allowed to happened relatively unabated.   If anything more effort is being taken to stop BLM protests, but to be fair, they also went on longer.

Do protests need permits from the localities where the protest is happening? I'm just wondering, it's not criticism.

I think there are instances where it is required but I definitely don't know when/if in all situations.   I think it can have to do with road closings/police preparation/etc.

Yeah, it was my first time not voting in person. I wanted to make sure about my local city clerk's office. And I don't know all the rules, I used to hear you couldn't vote in November if you didn't vote is some primary? Anyway, they were mostly unopposed but there were a few R's to vote against. And I feel very patriotic, proud as a peacock.  😃😃

I have had trouble with my signature in the past.  I am very bad at cursive writing and it's difficult for me to repeat.  I know it probably sounds dumb, but repeating my signature is not automatic for me.

I remember the police breaking up something because they didn't have a permit. I don't remember if it was a protest, rally or parade.

Are you mailing it in or taking it to your city clerk? If we all just take it down to the clerk, it won't matter if the GOP tries to suppress our votes by messing with the USPS.

mail: too fraud-y for voting, but also not too fraud-y for sending socialism checks

The Trump party is by far the shadiest tree of all.  And we need to do some trimming in November.

He's not leaving.  He'll put troops at polling places and he'll surround the White House with armed service members that support him.

Yeah. The dems totally want to suppress voting, paving the way for Trump's re-election.

and this will be a court fight

as ive been saying for months.

he'll be filing all sorts of lawsuits if he loses, just like he always does.

hopefully it wont be a close election so we dont have to deal with a serious attempt to stop it.  but if he loses, he will attempt to stop the certification of the election.

god help us if something massive disaster happens between november and january.  like china moving on taiwan or a hurricane hitting miami.
