Republicans will now finally find their morals and fiscal responsibility, and I cannot wait until they complain about the costs the first time Biden takes a vacation.

Do you know what it is going to be like for intelligence officials to give briefings to someone who will listen and understand and ask questions that make sense?   I am sure they know about the f'ed of crap in the world and probably worry anyway, but I can't imagine what they have been dealing with, stress-wise, the last 4 years.

I need every last detail regarding the four seasons thing. This is deserving of a feature length documentary.

The only thing that would have made it better is the owner of the building kicking them off the lot.

Yes, a gravel parking lot in front of an adult toy store was the result of sophisticated planning and logistics management.  Rudy was there to supply gravitas.

Not sure I really buy that. It just seems too big of a coincidence that they'd have the same name as an upscale hotel, where he would normally have something like this. Not being libs doesn't seem like a good reason to have a high-profile conference in a gravel lot next to a porn store. There's just no way.

People are still partying in the streets in DC at 1230 am. I love it.

Kate McKinnon proves, once again, that she is the funniest person in North America.  She just did Giuliani again, it is just perfect.  Here's the downside to Biden's win, I can't do 4 years of Jim Carrey.  I ****ing hate Jim Carrey.

slight correction: if Australia is playing, then F them. beyond that, it doesn't matter.

I have no idea how available that is in the states, especially for replays. AFAIK, I'm stuck with home-nation TV commentary.

Oh, I didn't realise you were watching replays - I doubt you'd get radio commentary for that.

One of my joys of the Christmas period for me is watching the first session on the Boxing Day Test from Melbourne. It'll start at midnight on Christmas Day for you - that would be watchable for you. Perhaps not Boxing Day, but some of the other days of the match. If you can get a feed. That's where the radio feed comes in.

Tbh, the radio is sometimes less about the cricket than it is other things - I think it's much more like baseball on the radio, although with more cake. The time difference is less good for you, but you might enjoy trying to catch a live feed of Test Match Special from the BBC when England are playing a home Test (I believe they do it on the YouTube these days - either that or use a VPN). It's one of those things that defines Britain for me fwiw.

yeah, my watching time has generally been limited to evenings (US Eastern at first and now Pacific) and weekends, and I'm not a morning person, especially on weekends. so I pretty much have to watch after the fact.

when I had cable TV, I could watch whatever ESPN had rights to, which I think was anything taking place in England or NZ (and IPL if I'd coughed up extra money). without cable, my option (as far as I'm aware, at least) is now willow.tv, which gives me home-nation coverage of anything outside of those 3. so I could totally watch TV coverage of a Boxing Day test in Aus. but I actually don't have willow.tv any more—just wasn't taking the time to watch it. maybe I'd have stuck with it if I still had ESPN and England. 🤷

but maybe I'll see what I can find for England cricket on the Tubes this summer. thanks for the pointer.

After voting strictly for Republicans all my life, I voted for Biden. I am a moderate Republican, and I want my party back, away from the extreme right and Trump. I enjoyed most of Saturday, albeit from my work stations.

The reason I asked about the Electoral College votes the other day is because the common sense approach says Trump will try to steal the vote. I sure hope it's not possible.
