some of that 8% will be people like me who in August ended up going in person after I ruined my ballot. Those won't get accounted for until the voter is at the polls and they void the absentee.

just walked by the school which the polling place for 2 precincts and saw no-one walk in or out in the time it took to walk by . A few cars in the parking lot but less than you would expect even at mid-day on a pres election day. There was a Cop sitting at the far end of the parking lot that we 'Good Afternoon" 'd. I would guess 90% of our neighborhood voted early.

My Biden sign was stolen last night. So was neighbor across the street. Oh well. I laughed about it.

been a chill day. Got up. Farted around with the dishwasher and minor plumbing issue. Cleaned by gutters. Blew some leaves in the street. Listened to some music and read some of my Jim Baker book.   Went for a 3 mile run. Now I am enjoying an early oatmeal stout on this beautiful day.

Wife was also home so I had to “look busy” while she did virtual school with my son.  . Normally on Election Day I’m home alone so it’s where I live like Jeff Lebowski until 3 pm.

I believe you're right. Just got back from voting and at least three people ahead of me had to void their absentee ballot.

Some other observations; line was definitely longer. I went at the same time in 2016 and there was no line. There was a line outside the building but the wait was only 15 minutes. There were more women than men. A couple women had young toddlers so the suburban moms were in full force. There were a few blacks and Asians. The guy behind me was white and wore a **** your feelings shirt. We all know who that ******* is voting for. My precinct tilted towards Hillary so I think high turnout here favors Biden.

We went to vote at about 2:30.  Encountered no line or wait.  But that is typical at that precinct at that time of day.  It is usually busier in the morning or after 5.  I didn’t think to ask though.

This is the kinda stuff to keep in mind when looking at early returns from rural counties in the MW... all about those margins
