A Kool & the Gang reference.  This thread has serious potential to be Something Special if we can Unite and Celebrate! to the point where Everybody's Dancin' like its Ladies Night.  After last night's disappointment, I think Norris will harness The Spirit of the Boogie and his Wild and Peaceful approach on the mound will be The Force to guide the Tigers to Good Times tonight.  Kansas City is going to find themselves in a Sweat early and later an Emergency once they realize how hard the Tiger Gangland offense plays Open Sesame on them after McClendon gives the boys a Light of the Worlds type of speech before the game.

Did Morris Madden go to a local Kinko's and have that card made himself?

A friend of mine from HS was in the Rangers and had a bit part in that movie.   He was sitting at a desk in the classroom when Garner walked by.   Just being on the screen for a couple seconds made him a big star in a small town.

I saw James Garner sitting along the first-base line in the front row for a Tucson Toros game in the early 1980s.  He was an extremely pleasant very grounded kind of guy without pretensions but obviously sure of himself. I don’t think he ever really acted and he just had to show up and be himself when he was on camera. A number of people came up and asked him for autographs and he was so obliging about it that after awhile people just left him alone.

40th anniversary:

I felt so bad for Moss.....but was excited to get Sparky.  It seemed like a very unTigerlike move under Fetzer and Campbell.

Poor Les Moss. Right when they get a solid young foundation of a team, Mr. Red Championship comes in to get the glory for a spell.

I just saw that Stewart has a positive drs, how is that possible?   I haven't watched a ton of games this year but from the ones I watched nothing really stuck out to me as horrible.  I don't expect him to be positive but if he turns out just be a little negative he could actually turn into an asset.

I don’t know if I’m going to follow this game or not. The weather is really nice and it might just be a better day to chase skirts and hang with my homies.

JaCoby Jones has hit .330 in his last 30 games. If he hits .320 for the rest of the season he would end at .300.

Nothing can stop this team from showing up for games on the schedule.

Relatedly the world would probably end if he hit.300

I will nominate Lloyd for the Walt Hriniak hitting coach of the year award if JJ hits .300
