I was sitting here this morning, basking in the afterglow of the Tigers' win, when something happened to just shatter the mood.  I just heard on the morning news that apparently they still can't find a jail cell that is nice enough for El Chapo.  That's one of the great tragedies of our time and really puts things into perspective.

Nice set of teeth on Al Cicotte there, good enough for toothpaste commercials if he had been a better player.

Was anyone else confused by the BMW ads featuring Michael Conforto?  Seems like a stretch there.  I mean, Conforto's a nice player if he's on the field, but he doesn't seem like a name that carries that certain je ne sais quoi for BMW.

I can't comment on this, because I don't know who the **** Michael Conforto is.

Yeah, I saw the ad, and was actually wondering who the F on the Mets was doing a BMW ad.  I thought it might've been CY winner deGrom until he said his name

I'm sorry, I forget to spell it with the silent "u" after the "o"s, didn't I?

That Tigers lineup will feature 3 hitters hitting above .208.

I think that HR last night pushed Miguels OPS+ to over 100. Hoo-booy!

Matt Shepard just got way too excised again on a fly ball that was a good 25 feet shy of the warning track.

**Tigers upcoming schedule flashes on the FSD screen**

Shep (trying to keep his excitement to a minimum): “And here’s a look at the shape of things to come.”

This, of course, means we all have to take a shot. I’ve not been able to see more than a few minutes of the game today, but between Shep’s upcoming schedule saying and “Hall of Famer”, I’m sure I’d be wasted if I was playing the Shep drinking game today.

Shep, you don’t have to use your stock standard go-tos EVERY SINGLE TIME THE MOMENT ARISES.

**jumps off soapbox**

EDIT: Gibby, not Jack, is in the booth (duh, me) — so “Hall of Famer” has probably been shelved this weekend.

Shep is horrible.  Sick of his ***-kissing and constant asking of Morris and Gibson regarding their thoughts.  Please learn the basics of the game before stepping into the booth.

He's better at his job than you are at yours.

That’s a low bar.
