I'm not even mad about the ****ty baserunning...it's so bad that I'm actually impressed.

He’s like a bad girlfriend you are crazy about  Like that REM song “crush with eyeliner“

“She’s a sad tomato, she’s 3 miles of bad road, oh my kiss breath turpentine”

Dixon’s base running is insane and dangerous and deeply attractive at the same time

Just as everyone predicted, our 1st DH sweep in Fenway since 1965.

4-2 Tigers.   Final

12-10.   88 win pace

Keating just said they hadn't swept a DH in Fenway since the 1960's

When was the last time they won a double header at all?

EDIT: 2003? yeah it seems that long.

I am completely flabbergasted.  This can’t be happening.  Before I know it I’ll be dating a supermodel or something. This just seems so unlikely.

I approve of this win.  For one day, I abandon my irrational need for the Tigers to tank.  Mostly because I detest the Red Sox.

I will resume my tank-wish once we leave Beantown.

2016/15 There was a graphic at the end (can't remember which year it was) against Minnesota.

I don't know how long Turnbull can sustain what he is doing without throwing more breaking balls for strikes, but at least as of this moment, they have some starters showing well despite the loss of Moore.

Will you still be asking for the tank when they're buying at the deadline?

you're setting yourself up to get your heart broken.  Send me your address and I'll ship you a Snuggie and a couple of jars of peanut butter and ice cream to get you through it.

This team will ultimately be hard pressed to win 70 games, particularly when we shed Matt Boyd, Shane Greene and Castellanos at the trade deadline, and have to plow through the final 60 games of the season without them (and possibly others).

My word the Red Sox stink.

their bullpen is unimpressive and the Tiger BP is improving.

What's really sweet is winning a game when you used Farmer, that's stealing one.

Per B-R, the Tigers are 34-84 in games Farmer has appeared in, but hey, 5-4 this year.  It's a whole new Buck... or something.

pretty amazing that this team is over .500 and our closer has a save in every win, save one

(see what I did there?)

Lol, not really.   The odds of this team buying at the deadline are roughly 20-1 against.    But I like to enjoy the ride while it lasts.   My 1st season as a fan was 1967 so I literally teethed on baseball heartbreak, nothing this team does will top that.

Oh great now we're gonna lose the World series in extra innings in Game 7

'67?  geez

My Tiger fandom started in 1976 when my Dad would take me down to the ball park to see the Bird pitch.  He'd top it off with a hotdog and some cotton candy.  If he was feeling especially charitable, I'd get a program, too.  I was only 42 years old.
