4/17 @6:40 p.m. Pittsburgh Pirates vs Detroit Tigers

The Tigers need to sign this kid:

Its a shame it was a road game.  Had it been a home game, it'd have occurred at Leyland Family Field.

Looks like he followed that up with a 3 for 4 effort last night.

AW needs to get it's **** together... Everyone knows that after the 3rd HR, if not the second, he should have been plunked. Thank goodness my son isn't going to that trash school! Your daughter should transfer before she is scarred for life.

Yes, but look where he's going in spite of how we've turned out.

True, but at least they don't give up four homers to the same player in one game.

Trevor Williams vs Spencer Turnbull

I miss when we were 7-4

Mr. Spencer Turnbull will start us on the path back to a gaudy record.

I predict a gaudy 8-9 record after tonight's thrilling 5-2 loss.

I think we're probably going to end April with fewer home runs than the league leader.

Doubles are great and all, but when the next three batters strike out on high cheese, ground out to the second baseman, and stand there like the house by the side of the road on a hanging curveball... They don't score runs.

Thru last night's games:

Tigers 43 runs - Mariners 42 home runs, A's 36 home runs

Tigers 43 runs - next closest AL team are the indians with 62

Tigers with 7 home runs - Khris Davis 10 HR;s, Jay Bruce 8 HR;s, Jose Altuve 7 HR;s, in the NL, Yelich, Bellinger, Pederson, Goldschmidt and Ozuna have 7 or more home runs.

That makes 8 players that have as many or more home runs than the Tigers as a team

But we are 2nd in the league in doubles - we need more time in the weight room.

Time for a shift in the lineup.   My proposal

Candelario, 3b
Goodrum, rf/lf
Miggy, 1b
Stewart  lf/dh
Castellanos rf/dh
W. Castro, ss
Harrison, 2b
Greiner, c
Jones, cf

Sorry Ronny,  Castro is hitting the ball well..............Tigers need anyone they can get now

You’ll look back at .500 as the glory days soon enough.

Good grief, Skip. I know we’re re-building, and I know you’re stubborn, but good *******... 😡
