Got a bad feeling about Zimmermann today. Hope I’m wrong.

Did Suds Sutherland really play in 1921?  Time flies.

So the football stadium in Minneapolis with a retractable roof can be used for baseball................

Image may contain: stadium and outdoor

RF - 305

RCF - 350

CF - 400

LCF - 375

LF - 330

They owe us for letting their stupid Vikings play here when their roof collapsed...........

It would be better than playing in that Scandinavian Hellscape they call Target Field.

Target = WalMart for snobs

Gardenhire trying to figure out how many healthy bodies are available.  Maybe call up another pitcher and let Buck Farmer play in the OF?

How did Suds Sutherland earn the wrath of Cobb? How did I miss this story?

Buck's on base couldn't be much worse, could it?

Who didn't earn the wrath of Cobb?  I figured only the more notable situations made it into historical lore.

Wow, Gardy mixing things up a bit...

image.png.963a364d1900ed4210cc4281ca29a1b7.png

I guess that means Ronny Rodriguez gets the call up.  I glanced at the Toledo box score last night and couldn't figure out who was kept out to likely be shipped up.  I guess it was he.

I'm not sure what else can be done with the lineup until individuals start doing something.  Goodrum & Castellanos aren't available, at least in terms of starting.  Gardenhire mentioned after yesterday's game that Goodrum was only going to be used as a PR for Cabrera and they could keep him in the clubhouse in between DH PAs if needed.  Also mentioned trying to avoid pneumonia, so it doesn'tsound pleasant.  And Castellanos has the toe deal.

So this leaves Harrison as the bench piece today, and I suppose Farmer as well since he was the emergency position player yesterday.

Huzzah to 13 man pitching staffs!

I thought that Friday's postponed game was supposed to be made up as part of a double header. Did that get scrubbed as well?

May 11.

Per Wikipedia. That lone homer he gave up was to Ruth. Cobb was a player/manager. Well apparently we gave up something like six dingers that day and a couple to Ruth and Suds took the brunt of Cobb's anger about the day. Cobb only had him throw a couple of relief innings the rest of the year then it was back to the Pacific Coast League never to be heard from again

Miggy is “due.” I think he’ll hit 2 HR today then revert back to what we’ve gotten used to. So eat your ice cream before it melts, so to speak.

Hey, there's a leadoff on base event from Jeimer!

Ninety-three MPH fastball right down the heart of the plate goes untouched by a Miggy swing.

But good recovery to line a single to left on the next pitch that was way inside.

Miggy is like a box of chocolates these days.

This team is so inept with RISP, and with runners at third and less then two outs.  They have no clue on situational hitting.

And man, with Hicks batting 4th and Greiner 5th, this linep is brutal.

Doesn't the second part kinda explain the first part?
