2019 Tiger Prospects

Recommended Posts

With Tigers' loss today, the Orioles have been mathematically eliminated from position 1-1 in the 2020 draft.  We've been assuming the Tigers would win it, and now they have.

Paredes 1-2 with a BB thus far tonight.   Of course he's DHing so hopefully he's riding a stationary bike between at bats to burn some calories.

Make your Rule V party plans now.

Anything good being served? Like a power hitter who can also field.... any position?

He said he's riding a stationary bike, but he was seen by the concession stand eating cheap ballpark pizza.

I hope the Tigers can draft someone like Pete Alonso with their second pick while their first pick is even better. Something like this would really improve my mood.

Which would make everyone here happier, which would improve the mood in Michigan, which couldn't help but spread some joy across the USA and thus the World.   So I am in complete support of this kind of drafting success.

The rumor going around is the bench needed reenforcements for Paredes to sit on it.

HE SO FAT... IT LOOKS LIKE "DETROIT" IS IN ALL CAPS

It appears that he's not wearing a belt. Does that mean he doesn't need one?

Craig Monroe was not overweight when he played. He needed a belt.

I'm guessing the organization is having trouble finding one that fits him, somebody needs to tell them to raid Miggy's locker.

That's a very nice set of small sample stats, the sort of thing that makes following the minor leagues fun.  I like a guy who hits 9 home runs and only strikes out 18 times.  On the down side he is 21 in the GCL, so he'll have to step up the level of competition next year.  But yes that's a good result for a 19th rounder.
