Back to prospects, I knew Erie had been playing well, but I had no idea how well. They play the split season in the Eastern League apparently. Erie was under .500 in the first half, but in the second half they are 32-11. Wow!

Having said that, Faedo pitched a perfect first three innings tonight only to get lit in the 4th.

Mike Rabelo, next Tigers skipper.

The Seawolves have double digit pitchers that may be MLB in the next couple years. Maybe one position player, Paredes.

Paredes very quietly having a solid year. He's improved each month, finishing with an .829 OPS in July, First two days of August he's 6 for 8 with a walk and double. 46/47 BB/Ks in 428 plate appearances. 128 wRC+. The only knock this year is obviously the pedestrian number of HRs, 8.

Among the top 100 Eastern League hitters he's the second youngest one. The other guy, who is 19, has a .594 OPS. Paredes's OPS ranks him 25th (9th currently, if you compare him to guys who are still in the EL). . Everyone above him is at least 2 years older, except for one guy who is 21.

He's not Vlad Jr or Acuna, but he certainly appears on track to be an above average MLB hitter. I've also read some recent accounts that said he isn't the quite the stiff in the field that many suggested during the offseason.

Anyone else feel that the Twins Organization is running a conspiracy to get former Twin personnel into our organization as managers to deliberately hurt the rebuild?

We need to trade him soon, it's well known that better starting pitching won't help our record.  ?

Better starting pitchers will help their record, just not Moore and Ross.  They are signed through next year though, so you may get to see them!

Lol, I'll quit beating the dead horse.  I hope we never see them in the olde English D again.

I think Al will once again look for mediocre stop gap FA starting pitchers next year. Barring trades and injuries I would assume Boyd, Norris, Zimmermann and Turnbull will have spots. Maybe he sticks with Alexander, Carp et al, but I see him adding a couple more. Wouldn't be surprised to see Moore back again. I doubt he gets any big offers based on 10 good 2019 innings. His injury is his meniscus, which should heal fine. Yes, next year is really going to suck again

Burrows will be up. The Funk will too. Fulmer will be back won't he? Norris will be traded. Zimmerman will be cut.

Fulmer will ready to pitch sometime next season, but even with a successful TJ he may not pitch effectively again until 2021

With all the young pitching pushing it's way up I think it more likely that we go with what we have there and instead look for a couple of plug ins at the plate.   Maybe 1B?
