You Tube TV has FSD.

They removed it (and FSOhio and SportsTime Ohio) from NW Ohio residents in March and kept the subscription rates the same.

Well that doesn't affect me, so I don't care.

If there's a better representation of the attitude of the majority of Americans, I haven't seen it... LOL!

YTTV and FSD have parted ways.

Quote

Providing our members with 85+ channels requires contracts that are periodically renegotiated with content owners. Earlier this year, we negotiated an extension with Sinclair to continue carrying FOX Regional Sports Networks through the regular seasons for baseball, basketball, and hockey. Unfortunately, now the seasons are over and that extension is expiring.

Starting Thursday, October 1, 2020, FOX Regional Sports Networks will no longer be available on YouTube TV, and you will no longer have access to any previous recordings from FOX Regional Sports Networks.

This was a difficult decision made after months of negotiations. We hope that we can bring FOX RSNs back in the future. Thank you for your membership as we work to make YouTube TV the best streaming experience.

I can’t think of a single reason to watch FSD at the moment.

Is there even a tentative start date for nba and nhl regular seasons?

I’m enjoying Hulu tv so far. It has a few annoyances but for the most part it provides the necessary access to live tv. I’m trying to decide right now if live tv is necessary. I could probably drop it at least until big ten football returns.

YTTV clearly reached the same conclusion. Paying anything is still too much for getting nothing.

I can't think of one either.  I looked at Hulu & Fubo yesterday and then that very thought occurred to me.

I waited on those because I thought MLB would run into a stoppage.  Although, since they are only month-to-month, I wouldn't have been out much.  But now with nothing going on on FSRs, what's the point?

The latest rendition of YTTV & FSRs might be only temporary until those FSRs broadcast live sports.  However, a zip code like mine might still be shut out if/when there's another contract in place.  If I remember it correctly, YTTV reduced the FSRs' availability before the COVID shutdown.

I may cancel my Hulu tv subscription. I’m trying to think of what I will use it for in the next week. I don’t care all that much about the baseball postseason or nba finals. NFL I can get via Locast. I don’t care about college football until the big ten starts back up. We’ll see.

One really big Pet Peeve for You Tube TV - and if you have it you'll know.   Some commercial breaks they don't have local ads so they just put the station title card on the screen with the caption Commercial Break and play some music....................CAN YOU PLEASE COME UP WITH MORE THAN ONE PIECE OF MUSIC THERE?   ITS ALWAYS THE SAME PIECE OF MUSIC AND I AM STARTING TO HEAR IT IN MY DREAMS !!!!!!!!!!

(I have very few complaints actually and I'll worry about local sports if something compelling happens with the Wings because I think they'll have things worked out by Spring, when there will a big demand for Tiger baseball).

Cheesey! We don't watch all that much 'live' - so we haven't seen that.

My complaint right now is my LG television doesn't process IP fast enough to do 1080p direct from the router. I have hard wire ethernet  to it but it just buffers and stutters the whole time at any attempt at 1080p. Now I have a computer next to it and it can send the same YTTV programming in 1080p HDMI to the display though a full screen browser window just fine, but  I have to use a DisplayPort output from the computer to the LG and I'm still waiting on delivery of a DPort to HDMI adapter that claims it will really do 1080p after trying two that claimed they did but didn't. I have to use the DPort because in another weird interaction that I haven't figured out, if I send HDMI direct from the computer (it has a Radeon 570 video card, 1 HDMI + 3 DP) to the LG, it disables the HDMI_ARC output from the LG to the Sound system. Grrrrrrrr......

FedEx just delivered my Google Chromecast with Google TV.  It was free from YTTV for being a customer for X amount of time.

Shame I bought one a few months ago when they first came out.  FWIW I like it a lot better than Roku.  Remote seems better, much quicker response, more snap, whatever you want to call it.  Things load faster, etc.  You can also use voice commands if you have the setup for it.

I originally bough it because HBOMax was not on Roku, which it now is.

Just read a news story with the claim that every streaming service has now dropped regional fox sports channels from their line-up with the exception of the ATTs new AT&T-TV service, and it looks like they are only offering it as an $8.50 upcharge. The 1st tier service is $65/mo for the 1st year rising to $95/mo for the second year on two year agreement, and that is not counting the FSN charge. 95 + 8 = $103/mo is getting close to what my old UVerse "cable' charge was. Maybe time to look for a VPN service, but I'm thinking that loophole won't be open for much longer......

EDIT: $200 rebate card if you sign up by 1/5. That  takes the edge off yr2 I guess. I went to the chat on the site and asked if I would still be obligated to a the 2 yr agreement if they lose their carriage agreement with Sinclair. Basically got a double talk answer.

so as it turns out since I am an ATT customer I get a bundle discount for ATT TV. Including the 5.38/mo upcharge for FSD, that puts the bill at $61/month, which is about the same as Youtube.tv. So I guess the YTTV experiment comes to and end with 2020. As it turns out ATT has dumped the old Uverse service - well if you have it you can keep it for now, but all they are selling on new agreements is the streaming service, though you do a get DVR/control box just like you did with Uverse service. The difference is that you if have a computer you can stream through a browser. You could only stream the old Uverse service through a mobile device, not a browser.

Well, it does affect me now since FSD is not on You Tube TV and I did want to watch the Wings opener, but after sing that they were only able to muster 14 shots in an NHL game, I don't think I missed a thing.   I'll be fine.

When Tiger season comes along I may buy some sort of mlb streaming package but I am never going back to cable again.

Besides, I think WOW and Comcast were sending subliminal messages through their cable.  Ever since I switched to You Tube TV, I stopped worshipping Satan all the time.   He's a ******* bore anyway with all the negativity.  I mean a little humor wouldn't kill ya, Mephie !

ATTTV has been OK so far. Even though it's a streaming service the control box with it's own remote makes it much easier to navigate than using the YouTube WebOS App on my LG TV was. The OS on my LG is really slow and unresponsive, though of course that will be a YMMV thing depending on your TV. It appears if you are streaming through a browser as opposed to their control box you don't get immediate replay capability, don't know if that is true on a mobile device or not, haven't tried it yet.

And despite the lopsided shot totals the Wings were in the game until about the 55min mark.

What sort of MLB streaming package are you considering?  Is it subject to blackout rules?

I realize cable has a bad rap these days.  But streaming isn't the end all be all when they keep dumping RSNs.

I get around the blackout rules by adding hehestreams on top League Pass.  You could just go with hehe but I feel a bit dirty doing that so I purchase LP and just never use it.

I have used that setup for years, even before they took away FSD.  Hehe just has a better interface and the quality of the video is much better than LP.

I have to believe that by the time the baseball season gets close, the streamers will start re-offering the RSNs with a pass through charge, as ATT is doing. It's too easy and makes too much sense and baseball is still a big TV market. I probably would have just waited longer to see what YTTV was going to do but I had decided the interface was too clunky and I wanted to see how the Wings were going to start the season. As I noted, the problem with the YTTV interface for me was probably just my LG display but I wasn't going to replace the display for the sake of the streaming service.

I don't know about the RSNs being streamed again.  There's NBA & NHL inventory right now.  If they have not gone for the right here right now already, I suspect it won't be offered anytime soon.

As for the YTTV interface, I never found it cumbersome, but my viewing interests aren't all that varied.

YTTV on Roku is like molasses.  I bought a Chromecast Ultra and YTTV is very snappy on that.  Now I need to get the ethernet adapter even though I have had no issues going wireless.
