Game 12: Los Angeles Rams @ Detroit Lions: Will Suh Stomp Stafford?

It was still silly when your up one score. Go up 14 and make the Lions score a TD, recover the onside kick and score again in two minutes.

It would be silly for a team like Detroit.  Losers with a loser mentality.  Gurley and the Rams know they are going to score anyway.

And even if the Rams somehow gave the Lions the ball back without scoring the TD, the Lions would have to complete almost 50 2 yard passes to tie the game.

And he got the TD anyway with the Lions remaining timeouts gone and 40 seconds less.

The chance of the Rams either fumbling or missing a FG was greater than the Lions scoring 2 TDs in 2 minutes.  You fall down before the goalline if you're late enough in the game where you can go into victory formation and kneel down 1-3 times to run out the clock without the opponent being able to stop the clock.

Most likely. But, if some player blows out a knee on the goaline? Is that injry/bad handoff risk worth 40 seconds of clock?

What if he blows out a knee jumping up to bump bodies celebrating the TD?

I don't believe his last name is gramatica.

And are you seriously gonna argue that your injury risk celebrating is the same as during a goal line stand? Again, the injury risk the fumbled handoff is tiny. Very Very tiny. But, is it worth it for 40 seconds of clock against a 4-7 squad in the regular season. I say no.

Still can’t believe the lions gave up on the season and traded away Golden Tate.

Hey, with the third-round pick they got for him, they can draft another Tracy Walker and be  practically guaranteed to win next year's Super Bowl.

I’m going to argue that there is always a risk when playing football.  That risk shouldn’t change a teams decisions.  The Rams are going to play to win each game until winning doesn’t matter anymore, then they will avoid risks.  They proved that’s how they will operate at the end of last season and in this preseason.

I respect that attitude and wish this cowardly team would play the same way.

Announcers of the Raiders vs Chiefs don’t know the kickoff rules and think the Raiders returner made a mistake stepping out of bounds before fielding a kickoff.

Bears should’f gone for two

They should have because they lost. Lions move up a spot in the draft. Unless we had a tie breaker against the Giants?

That Bears loss puts the Lions in first place, right?

No, the Bears loss only makes you look even more stupid. If that's even possible.

I was certain that with 10 days off the Lions would win this game.

2 words in one sentence that should never go together.

The lions blew out the patriots.

Yeah and our records are tied now. The Lions have a shot at a top 10 pick though. Any punters we want them to take?

Seems like the perfect year for the Lions to get their new QB.
