Loser organization is a loser. Stafford is the weak link.

He is one of many weak links in this team. However, he is the only weak link that gets excuses made for him time and again, season after season.

Where were you in the games when Stafford played well this season and last? Nowhere to be found.  You're the worst kind of poster, a complete ghost when your opinion is proven wrong then show up to gloat the few times you look to be validated.

In any event, you'll always be looked at as the guy who thought that Sanchez and Cook was better than Stafford so nobody will ever take you seriously.

BTW, I've always said that Stafford is a bit overrated but was good enough to win with.  He's had the worst running game in the league to work with since he came into the league and one of the worst O-Lines up until this season really. He's made his fair share of mistakes over the years but if the Lions even had an average QB, we'd be talking about a stretch of football arguably worse than Millen throughout the Mayhew and Quinn years.

I don't take anyone seriously who continues to believe we will ever win anything of consequence with this guy at the helm. If he hasn't proven it a decade in, what makes you think he'll suddenly change? And yes, it is true, he has had pathetic running games over his career. He has also had receiving corps that many QB's would kill to have with Calvin/Tate/Burleson/Jones Jr./Golladay.

Also, you sight that I am some awful fan for only pointing out his follies. Great, he's had some regular season games where he has looked terrific. He's had amazing 4th quarter comebacks and drives down the field. And yet, through all of that, he still has hardly won anything of consequence. Not a playoff game and rarely a big game. He continues to live up to his moniker of Stat Padford too with his 4th quarter stat sheets when defenses go into soft-zone and prevent coverage.

You're not the worst kind of fan for pointing out his flaws because you're not entirely wrong.  You're the worst kind of fan because you're never around when he's playing well to give credit for him playing well and seemingly just show up to gloat about bad he is when he has bad games.

Other than that, I don't disagree on everything you're saying.  He does have his "Stat Padford" moments when he racks up a bunch of yards in garbage time to make the game closer than it appears and the record against winning teams is utterly pitiful but he's had some good moments in his career, the supporting cast has also been junk throughout a good portion of his career.  Two things that are vital to QB success, a good O-Line and running game, have been missing for him. You can have all the good receivers in the world but when you don't have time to throw to them and the defense is game planning entirely around the passing game, it makes it tough for the QB. The Lions have failed him more than he has failed the Lions IMO.

Keep those fingers crossed tight, maybe one day we'll win something with this guy. Maybe'll he turn into a QB that shows up consistently. Maybe he'll turn into a QB that can beat good defenses with high defensive efficiency stats. Maybe he'll win a playoff game. Maybe, but probably not. I'm glad you're still hoping though.

Cmon, everyone knows its not until year 12 that a starting QB finally hits his stride...

My problem is where do we go from here? Do we draft oline help or do we get wr help? I think a good pass catching tight end would do wonders. We have so many holes to fill and we have had 60 years to fill them.

Do you think he has failed the Lions this season in particular? The Jets game got out of hand for a number of reasons beyond Stafford, so let's take that one out of the equation. Look at the 49'ers and Seahawks games, can we directly attribute two losses this season to our QB's performance?

I wonder how many games Tom Brady has won where his team gave up ~180 yards rushing, as the Lions did against NY, SF, and SEA.

I certainly agree he has missed an awful lot of throws. Whether he's not concentrating on his mechanics, or is just banged up again and they are not talking about it, I don't know. He just does not look to me to be in good physical condition. In short hand to me he looks like an old man out there this year, with his mobility degraded as well, which leaves him less able to create time/space to throw on his roll outs.

If this continues to be a trend we are in dire trouble as his contract will be an albatross for this organization. I want to see a guy live up to his new contract and thus far, he has woefully underwhelmed.

I'm sure he's feeling today's game. He was getting hammered. Make an adjustment and get rid if the stinkin' ball? I was screaming...."throw it"        f'ing idiot.

So Stafford isn't to blame for the outcomes of these games. The excuse is the run defense?

Maybe Cleveland will give us a couple 1st round picks and a few 2nd round picks for him? ?

It's not you, but Staffords play (or lack of) that has me convinced we should move on. But the questions remain, what to do with him (and his contract) and who do we draft/sign to take his place?

I asked a simple factual question. If you want to be taken seriously, take a crack at answering it.

Patriots throw the ball 60 yards downfield first couple of plays.  Didn’t work, but they’ve done something the Lions would refuse to do, throw it past 3 yards.

JBC has to go.

What’s that have to do with todays game?   Honest question.

LOL, I know, so, Lions are better than GB and NE. And Stafford is better than Rodgers and Brady!

And they lost by 30 to the jets.

Let’s not forget that GB’s kicker missed four FGs and a PAT in an eight point loss to Detroit. (They were also fortunate to get NE early in the season, and if anybody has inside info on how to slow Brady, its Patricia.)

Last year’s team was arguably better than its record, plagued by controversial calls. This year’s team is, if anything, worse than its record.

We expected the defense would get worse before it got better, and it has. But we also expected the offense would improve with a new running game. No such luck.

Tom Brady with a QB sneak for the first down! Does JBC know you can do this?

Kinda fun watching a couple of teams that can both play this game.

Great example of a bad point.  Please add context.
