You must be trolling at this point.

"at this point"?  have you not been here for the last five years of TP posts?  :)

Is it customary for a team to keep getting penalties so the other team gets closer to the goal line at the end of the half?

The Lions should just jump offside and kill Cousins here, as long as it takes a few seconds off the clock and forces them into a field goal. Also, they'll probably commit a penalty anyway

I know, silly me. Expecting a rational GDT post from TP is like expecting a Lions divisional title. You always have that slight glimmer of hope but don't realistically expect it to happen.

It’s amazing no one catches on.

Literally no one blocked #93, if he threw the pass it's very possible it would have been intercepted on a tip, and you would be blasting him for blowing 3 easy points.

If the offensive line just lets a defensive lineman loose untouched, it's probably not the QB's fault.

I'd blame the coaches for having called a timeout, and then still having to rush the next play with 1 on the play clock

No doubt that Patrica is to blame for a lot of this.  Amateur hour from the coaching staff.

But sit up and respect the process.

Tell me again stafford has no time.

We can all see the replay and see that no one was remotely open, I mean, you are watching the game, right? Riddick got caught up in a lineman and didn't even get out of the backfield before the sack, no one downfield had any separation

Jones had a five yard cushion on a short out route but then he broke upfield.

Stafford seems gun shy today. Doesn't want to let go of the ball or even throw it away. Just takes the sack

He is bad.  There is a reason he has played  10 plus years and has zero playoff wins.

Yeah but in the past he'd still gunsling it under pressure. He's been tentative all game. Either he's afraid of throwing a pic, or everyone really is covered. You can see the whole field since you're there – is the coverage really that good?

apropos of nothing in particular to this game, but after watching UM/PSU, it stands out that the pro players are almost polite to each other compared to your average NCAAF rivalry game.

You aren't supposed to say that as a Lions fan, only make excuses for the $29 million man. You are supposed to tow the company line and talk about how hard it is to find good QB's in the NFL and how lucky we are to have Stafford, otherwise we would have as many wins as teams with bad QB's. It's NEVER Stafford's fault.

"Uhhhhhhhh, ummmmm, it doesn't really work like that." - Matt Stafford
