MTS Baseball Forum Hall of Fame

Recommended Posts

My motivation to tend to this thread has waned and will come back. Deuce and I have been banging sorority girls and huffing gold paint so much lately that it’s got lost in the shuffle.  I have an expansive notion of this Hall of Fame. It is less a matter of who to include than it is who to exile into the dung heap of obscurity. Stay tuned.

I figured it was the capital funding that had waned and not your interest.  But now it sounds like the cash that was earmarked for the MTSDTFHoF has now been misappropriated to good times?  Just wait until the political forum gets wind of this....

I almost never go into the political forum.  It brings out my dark side. I am capable of hanging people with whom I merely disagree from streetlights with the entrails of those whom I deeply detest. This is not a good way to “Win friends and influence people.“

Its OK, the elections are over.  It dies down over there like this forum does in early October, right?

Buddha has always been in favor of a small Hall of Fame.  Doesn't even want Trammell in there.

Kyle joined this site when he was 13 years old a few days before his 14th birthday.  I am not aware that anyone else ever did this other than wolverinefan whom I shall also honor. He always conducted himself well on this site — which sounds like a backhanded compliment and even condescending — but when you consider that adults three or four times his age were incapable of conducting themselves in a sane and productive manner and were banned this is actually pretty cool. I checked his record and it’s clean —  although I have some memory of a slight incident that was apparently erased from the records. He has always been a pleasure to have around here. We don’t see Kyle too much anymore, because he actually has a life which is cool.  But I want to honor him and put him in the Hall of Fame not just because he was young but because he deserves it.

Thank you Bert, I don't believe I am worthy of such an honor but I appreciate the sentiment :)

I'm almost 30 now, hard to believe too. You guys are great people and it is nice to know MTS is still alive and well.

I have great memories of you from a long time ago —  as a group we were very interesting “family“ — and at that time you were an integral part of the family, an important knit in the fabric of the board, and since this thing is my subjective little creation, it would not be complete without you.

My recollection is that you went to a couple of tryout camps.  That by itself would be hall-worthy.
