Who Will Be The Next Tigers Field Manager?

Recommended Posts

I don’t believe Ron Gardenhire will be back next year. This rebuild is gonna take about eight years and no way Gardenhire stays around to see it completed. I like Ron Gardenhire, and I’m just giving my opinion. Also, show Al Avila the door, soon.

Thanks,

I think they will use a platoon system..  Gerald Laird will manage against left handed starting pitchers and Alex Avila will manage against right handed pitchers.

Jim Price. Has there ever been a person who played for, broadcast for, and managed the Tigers? I guess Kaline, as a coach, came closest.

Shelton still has a thing for grounds keepers.

Ron Gardenhire is not going anywhere. He knew what he was getting into when he took the job. He'll at least finish his first contract. After that, it's anyone's guess. Maybe he's grooming Mientkiewicz?

If for any reason Gardy did not return, I’m confident Chris would turn the day to day operations, top to bottom, over to the Sam Bernstein Law Firm. Simply because, there are two kinds of people, the ones that have the Sam Bernstein advantage, and the ones that wish they had the Sam Bernstein advantage. It is just that simple.
