Josh "Hater".     Yeah, apologize now but saying you were 17 is no excuse.   17 is old enough to know right from wrong with being a racist.     You're getting what you deserve, idiot.    Go work for Trump or something then you can celebrate the KKK all you want.

Link to those celebrations?

What a snooze that game must have been.  Someone on the radio added it up this morning, that there was one of the 3 true outcomes in 44 out of 90 PA's last night, so the ball was in play for just barely half of the time.  It's the natural outcome of wanting pitchers to throw hard for as long as they can, and wanting hitters who get on base and hit for power.  The formula for success is, unfortunately, boring to watch.

I watched the first 5 innings.  I think there were 2 line outs.  It was all K or fly outs...or HR's.

Yeah, I don't enjoy that kind of game.  There are more strikeouts than hits this year for the first time ever.

Not that I ever condone using the n word but from the tweets I saw it didn't appear like he was using it in a racial tone or that he is racist, it was more in the tone that teens tend to speak nowadays where they call each other things like "my n****a".

yeah, I think people are overreacting to this.  He was a young dumb jock who said some stupid stuff.  He apologized for his immaturity instead of the common practice these days of doubling down and saying that people are too politically correct.

I’m surprisingly ok with watching this graveyard of former Tigers parade around in the All Star game. We had our chance. Blew it.

I just hope we can do it right now that we’re back in the doldrums and set ourselves up for maybe another decade of relevance in the not too distant future.

just remember, baseball is weird. Nobody expected 2006, and once we got to the series it kept snowballing from there, sans the hiccup that was 2008.

It’ll happen. Have faith.

On the other hand, nobody expected the the 18 year drought starting in '88 either.

25K, 10 HR, but the league doesn't believe they have a problem with the balls.      /..sigh../

Keith Law lists Mize as the #14 prospect in his midseason rankings. No other guys in the top 50 although Burrows gets an honorable mention.

Mize hasn't thrown a pitch as a pro yet, right?

Just checking.

Indians have traded Francisco Meija to San Diego for Brad Hand. It appears that they are going all in.

give up your #1 prospect switch hitting catcher for a reliever? I guess so.

They got two relievers - Adam Cimber also.

28yr old rookie. Late bloomer I guess.

They do get Hand through 21 on a terrific contract at least.

Not like the Cubs giving up Torres for 3 months of Chapman.

Considering how little the Royals got for herrera it makes you wonder why the Imdians paid so much.

Isaac Paredes promoted from Lakeland to Erie.

Wonder where they'll play him there. Imagine Alcantara will stay at SS, wonder if he'll split time between 2nd and 3rd or main just one of them.

I would guess 2nd, but Alcantara could get bumped to Toledo soon, too.

that would be my thought. Is Castro considered a prospect or just MiLB fodder?

EDIT: I guess he was considered a prospect back in 12-13, but is now 24 and has pretty much plateaued at AAA.

Alcantara has 7 starts at 2B, so they should be able to find Paredes time at all 3 positions

-also Paredes is the 2nd youngest player in the Eastern League after Vlad Jr
