Speaking of Granderson and that 07 season, I just looked it up real fast and him and Magglio combined for 15.9 fWAR.  I wonder if any Tigers duo has topped that?  I know Cobb had a bunch of 10-11 win seasons so maybe him and a teammate but I'm not sure how to cross check it without having to look at every single season and every player.

Quickly checked only 4 Tiger seasons 1917, 1935, 1938, and 1961

1917 two Tiger teammates combined for a 17.0 fWar ....... Ty Cobb 11.5 & Bobby Veach 6.4

1961 two Tiger teammates combined for an 18.2 fWar .......Norm Cash 10.2 & Rocky Colavito 8.0.  ... ..... ..... .... ...  Interestingly, Al Kaline was third on the 1961 Tiger team with a 7.7 fWar   ..giving three Tiger teammates a combined fWar of 25.9

The pitching in 61' was not great, but the offense of that team was something. 841 runs scored in that era was something. Even the golden era Yankees only topped that once ('56).  They couldn't match the Yankee pitching though.
