This Bieber better be able to sing since the Tigers will ruin him as a pitcher.

I don't know if I want to play the Reds again. I'll take the Indians instead.

I think Mike Henneman was my second favorite non-Tram player in 1988, right after Matt Nokes.

I heard you even tried to dimple your chin to be just like Henneman.

Wait, Jim Walewander was still a Tiger in 1988, he's not in your top 3?

Matt Nokes was my favorite non Tram as well only because we shared a first name.  As a 6 year old that was important to me.

For what it's worth, Henneman's worth to me was tied up in the fact that we shared names, as well.

Nah. I didn't become a fan of Jim until I was old enough to know about and appreciate his love of the Dead Milkmen.

I don't understand why they are playing this series outdoors in a northern city.  So stupid.

It's funny, Trammel, Nokes, Henneman and Gibson were the players I remember the best from those days.  Even before Morris, Whitaker etc.

Looks like Chris Ilitch is going to try and extort the public for more money to help him renovate the ballpark:

Ilitch corporate welfare

I hope they remove the statue of the DH in the lineup.

I remember liking Dave Bergman for a little bit cause one day George Kell mentioned on the broadcast that he was a stock broker on the side.  For some reason my 7 year old self thought that meant he stocked the shelves at stores so that made me like him.   I was/am so dumb.

Hahaha

I liked Nokes because of his name, the fact he was a catcher and hit a lot of HR's.

I have tickets for this one and am driving down to that ****hole Cleveland.  Anybody have any tips or suggestions for stuff near the stadium?

I recall being the very first person into Memorial Stadium in Baltimore in '87 before a Tigers game.  I arrived at the Tiger dugout just as Matt Nokes was walking by.  He smiled and said "hello."  Seemed like a very nice guy.

Make sure you are wearing your Lebron James Heat jersey.

Depends on what you like to do.  Cleveland is actually a pretty nice city now.  There are some nice museums, an aquarium, a casino, and some nice outdoor activities.  Of course, I have been there with my son, so those are the things I look for on trips...well, not the casino, but you know.

I was kidding about the ****hole part.  I was in Cleveland for a concert last year and was favorably impressed with it.  But the stadium is in a different part of town. Any suggestions for good bars or food would be appreciated.

I would help if I could.  Never been.  Drove by it a few times for work, but never been to the place.

Go to Great Lakes brewery and have you a pint or two.  Not sure how close/far from the ball yard it is.

I like Panini's.

I met him at an autograph signing around that time. I ended up with signed glossies of Matt and Pat Sheridan.

I think your story is better.

Is it fired brewed? From the Cuyahoga River? It did catch on fire at least 13 times. 😂
