Wow. Impressive.

Pitching wins championships.
Hit it where they aint.
It's a marathon, not a sprint.
We fought hard.

Give him the locker next to Stanton. J Montgomery out for year after TJ surgery. Yanks are going to need a starter sooner rather than later.

Its all coming together now.

Are the Tigers listening to offers for Zimmermann?

As hard as they can - but they still can't hear any.

We have to pay other teams to make offers for Zimmerman.

if you are wondering what Leonys Martin might fetch in return, the Royals just traded Jon Jay for Gabe Speier and a 18 year old who has not pitched yet this year.

That's why I think we'd be lucky to get even a decent arm for Martin... and why I made the Martin to the Nationals for Jefry Rodriguez proposal... Jay's trade says I am probably asking for too much however...

So... Cubs starters are sucking wind this year, even though the team is playing pretty damn well, overall...

Give them Liriano (they might ask for Boyd instead) and ask for a couple 19 year-olds from a pretty barren system: SS Aramis Ademan and OF'er Nelson Velazquez.

I think Dave Dombrowski is the only guy to give up any potential value for journeyman players that are in the midst of a sss success ie Wasburn, Pauley, Purcey and Veras.

BTW: Red Sox need a catcher... if they don't have the prospects for Realmuto (and DD made quick work of emptying out their farm...), send them McCann...

He'd be a perfect platoon with Sandy Leon, who hits RH'ers but sucks against lefties... just the reverse of McCan't Hit RH'ers...

Red Sox signed Christian Vasquez to a 3 year/$13 million deal in March and they are right up against the tax line.

One last thought: Great Destination for Castellanos: the Mariners, who have a few position prospects that could be of interest to us...

Take back a salary and maybe that gets us a better prospect or two than just sending over McCann...

I think you are trying to fix a problem the Red Sox don't think they have. They choose to keep Leon/Vasquez/Swihart and instead released Yankee Killer Hanley Ramirez. DD is not going to give up anything significant for McCann.

Dombrowski may not give up anything significant to get McCann, but the Red Sox definitely have a catching problem.
