Who Did Miguel Pass Today?

Miggy looks so bad.

I hope he hits 500 HRs (needs 18) and 3K hits (needs 148) by the end of next year so we can end the charade.

Would then require Ilitch to eat $72M to say good bye.

I think that will be the outcome.  I don't see him getting waived/cut, though.  They'll find a BS role for him in the organization to fulfill the duration of his contract, if he agrees that he can't play anymore.  I do think he has some pride.  Very easy to give him the Prince Fielder treatment--blame his balky knees for the reason he can no longer continue to play to the level he expects from himself.

I don't see him playing for another org in any situation.

His GB% (+6) and IFFB% (doubled) are both up quite a bit versus his career numbers, with FB% down.

Exit velo is 19th in MLB. K and BB rates are fine.

He's not hitting it softer, just different. That seems like a swing issue that should be easy to fix. Does not seems like something we should eat $72MM over.

I just learned today that Zack Wheat had a brother Mack who was his teammate for five years in Brooklyn.

I've been waiting for him to pass a palindrome name. Bout time.

The human rain delay was a man ahead of his time.  Now every player takes forever to get ready.

I thought the human rain delay was Mike Hargrove.

Yes, you are correct.  I get those two mixed up.

Figured he'd be catching up with ol' Frankie Frisch.

If Frankie Frisch were alive today, who would he put in the Hall of Fame?

I'm not aware of anyone he missed.
