The Khris Davis thing was insane.

That’s just being very consistent.

Spelling Chris with a K,  now that’s insane.

I get that, but two different statistics on the same day seems pretty crazy.

Yes.  That's rare.

When the TV crew put up that list of players in the top 50 for hits, HRs and RBIs, I was getting ready to put up where Miggy was in the top 25, 50 and 100.

I don't know who is in whose head, but it's weird.

Roger Clemens' kids' names all start with K. None are backward K's though. I look for him eventually to change his last name to Klemens.

Roger may have misremembered that his last name starts with a C

If Miggy can reach 500 HRs (18 to go), 1100 XBHs (24 to go) and 1,800 RBIs (87 to go) while maintaining a .310+ average, he'll join Ruth, Williams and Ramirez as the only players to do it.

Currently at a .313 avg and hasn't hit above that since 2016. That will be the hardest one. The rest he should pass next year. Maybe the year after for RBI.

"Ruth, Williams, and Ramirez", I am reminded of that old Sesame Street song, "One of these things doesn't go with the others".

Ruth and WIlliams are sitting at .340, Ramirez at .310

I assume that includes postseason.  Regular season I have him at .312.

I agree.  But one of those seasons was .299.  Some guys like Mays just played too long, but it's tough to say goodbye.

I was rounding.  Ruth is .343, Williams .344.

The point I was attempting to make is neither Cabrera or Ramirez is in a class with Williams or Ruth.

.310 is arbitrary.  Increase the threshold to .315 and both drop out.  Drop it to .300 and it wouldn't surprise me if a 2 or 3 more players join the group.

He should be closing in on 600 HR and 3200 hits.

It was arbitrary on my part.  But so was 500 , 3,000 and .300 at one point.  My point is that as you slice up the offensive stats, Cabrera continues to be in an elite group for his career production, even with a number of off years.  You're right about the additional players if you dropped the career BA to .300.  You add Aaron (I left Foxx out of the original list).

Aaron and Mays, both of whom played in an era of low batting averages, would have made it with the .300 cutoff.  Also Foxx makes it regardless.

Nobody is arguing he isn't elite.

But he is a lot closer to Manny Ramirez than Williams or Ruth.

Certainly.
