With the demise of the mlb.com message boards, I'm looking for another location to provide the (almost) daily updates on Miggy and his climb up the various historical stat lists.

Any comments on whether this is an appropriate new home for that info?

Hi.  I'm new here too.  I always enjoyed your thread on the old MLB board.

You will enjoy yourself here, it is the only Tigers message board where people can actually spell and punctuate.

But I wish this intolerant forum was more accepting of diverse spellings of center and color.

This was my favorite thread on the MLB forum. kt you do a fantastic job.

It took me a few days to find this place, just in time for OD.

Before last year I kept a comparison between Miggy and Aaron.  I didn’t keep it up last year because he had a down year.  I may try that again.  They were very close for games played outside of SB and 3B obviously.

ktpinnacle has been updating fans on Miggy's career #'s in the now-closed MLB Tiger forum for a few years now .. and it had always been one of the more favorite threads there.  Am 100% confident ktpinnacle will continue to exhibit the professionalism and interest here that was always exhibited on the other forum.

GO MIGGY!

They shared good health (or an ability to play through injury) until Miggy fell apart last year.  Don't think Aaron fell off until his late 30's. Seeing what my wife has gone through with a disk issue this year, I'm amazed that Miggy was to compete at any level last year.  With good health management on a daily basis, I hope that he can return to the consistent form that was comparable to Aaron's.

Health and desire.  If he is healthy and has the desire to go down as THE all time great...he has some more work to do for 4-5 more years.

Nice to see a friendly face and a familiar topic live on.  I hope other posters from the board migrate here.

I've seen at least half a dozen more baseball-oriented MLB nomads land here already.  Wanted to provide a potential oasis in the online desert.

I approved the user accounts of several new members today, so perhaps a few others from the MLB forums have joined us?

If it takes me a day or two to approve a new account, please bear with me.  I’m on vacation right now and will try and process new user registrations as quickly as possible.  I’m happy to have you all join us, so I will do my best to get you approved fast. Thanks and welcome!

Quality content being delivered. Thank you!

But, would Brooks have switched to first base if the Orioles signed Graig Nettles?

Don't know if Robinson could have pushed out Powell or Lee May at 1B later in his career.  They needed the power bats. Robinson's defense didn't seem to falter much, though his body broke down at 38 years old it appears (by games played).  I wonder how Nettles LH power in Yankme Stadium in his prime at the end of Robinson's career would have translated to Memorial Stadium.
