I like these two stats being paired together.

By the way, Johnny Damon, number 65 all time in times on base, is number 40 in all time plate appearances. 

It took him 1230 more appearances to get on base as many times as Miggy.

And then you look at guys like Foxx, Gehrig and WIlliams and what they did with as many PAs as Miggy - or less - and it's no surprise they are regarded as greats.  A short right- or left-field porch doesn't hurt either.

I usually do a year end summary to show how far Miggy advanced over the year, but it's too soon, just too soon.
