A new coach doesn't change anything.  This team still has a serious lack of talent and even with Reggie back, will start two guys who should be bench players.  That team isn't winning anything.

First thought: This team would be a lot better if that Leuer and Galloway money was used on an actual good SF/PF and Kennard just took all of the Galloway minutes

Second: 60 million+ in Andre + Blake for the forseeable future, not sure what a non SVG gm does here.

I don't really mind the Blake trade because who would they get to come to Detroit as a FA with that money? But man, they really needed to get some affordable shooting around those two with the rest of that money. And instead it's injured guy, injured guy, Galloway, Ish who can't shoot, Stanley who can't shoot. When Anthony Tolliver is the player on your roster who probably makes the most sense after your two stars you have some problems

Looks like Blake is breaking out of his slump a bit.  Two really nice games in a row.  6-11 from three, 11 assists, and only 2 turnovers combined the past two games.  That is the kind of production we need from him next year when Drummond is gone.

Not only that...

But next year AD makes another leap. Maybe not a huge one... but I think Blake talks him into taking this game seriously. AD will step up.

Now... we just need Stanimal and Kennard to make some leaps as well...

And another credible PG option should Reggie get injured again. Whether that's Buycks, or a MLE signing, or whomever...

Just a healthy Reggie Jackson away from defeating the Cavs.

if all our players get a lot better, and we sign a lot of new better players, we'll be good!

You forgot about if the coach gets a lot better, too.

Drummond is an elite rim defender?

I chuckled at that too.

Other than that, they're both right. Stan, Drummond, and Reggie all need to go. There's nothing to argue about. But, it's ESPN and that's their content these days. Apparently, a couple of commentators screaming over the top of each other what people want to watch.
